Its an ingredient missing in Wlads fight game that makes people not look at him as a great champion. Maybe he needs that signature fight where everything about his game (his heart being #1 ) is tested and provened to be the heart of a champion. Then I think people will look at him in a different light. Its not his fault that the compitition is weak but its quite possibly the missing ingredient.

Agree he plays it safe to much, but this happened after his loses and change to Stewrad. Prior he was way more offensive. Even still, for such a defensive fighter he only has 7 fights that haven't ended in KO. So he's still doing enough offense... With some of those fights the fighters just running away the whole fight. When they stand there with him it's very likely the guy is gonna get KO... By the way where's the boxer right now that just KO's all his opponents in the 1st rd. Seems like that's the norm for everyone else, besides Wlad when trying to bash him.

But doesn't Mayweather get accredited with being a great defensive fighter. Yet Wlad gets discredited for being one.

    I don't care about the PHD's lol.

Ali hit rock bottom losses wise but as I said and something that doesn't really need to be explained is that he fought and beat the best of his era, he fought and bat other ATG's. And often did so while looking brilliant. He fought in a way noone has been able to imitate since or before. They can't be compared.

Ali has losses. Wlad has losses.

But Wlad doesn't have great wins, he doesn't have great victories.

Did you read what I said btw? I said make a case for him being a top 10, I said myself he is a top 20 and possibly top 15 depending on how his career pans out. I never said he wasn't an ATG......

    and Holy beat Foreman

by your logic. Wlad beat Rahman, rahman beat undisputed champ Lennox, Lennox beat Holy, Morrison, both beat Foremna, that means Rahman alone is a bigger win for Wlad than Foreman hasn't beaten anyone as good as Wlad has.

Yes it's annoying without a doubt but you have to take what they say with a pinch of salt. Does their opinion mean so much?

We have seen great fighters predict the wrong winners in fights, we have seen Foreman commentate and make a fool of himself. Just listen to Foreman commentating early in the Hopkins/Tito fight he gets it completely wrong, even says Hopkins is tiring at one point just because he was leaning on the ropes, kind of like when Ali was leaning on the ropes in Zaire and knocked him out. You'd think he would have learnt from that mistake.

Fighters usually get less respect when they are active because people tend to focus on the negatives and with time we forget those and see the past with a rose tinted sense of nostalgia.

Mayweather's defense is based on turning and twisting in angles while still being in his opponents range, if you miss he tags the hell out of you, it looks impressive. Wlad's Defense isn't really defense it's just being too tall and clinching when his opponents gets close. He has to blowout his opponents if he wants to prove how great he is, I mean dismantle them badly swollen eyes bloody face, do a lot more don't be content with a boring slow-paced UD. He should've rematched corey Sanders too. There's a lot of things that Wlad should've done to make his career better. Hell even a fight with Tyson would've been good too. Roy Jones didn't have much competition, but he made them all look like amateurs, he showed us how superior he was. Not hating on Wlad, just wish he would give us more.

Mayweathers defence is based on timing, adaptation, guile, footwork and technique.

    Wlads...defence? Literally consists of clinching.

How many fights of Wlad do you have scored even slightly close?? and again Wlad only has 7 of those boring UD. All of which aren't close. Do I wish he sparked his guys out earlier yea. But they to are playing it very safe the first couple rounds. Think they want to get smashed by any of Wlads shots, like their just gonna walk through them unfazed.

Foreman had Haye vs Wlad as a draw so i'll take what he says with a pinch of salt.
