I think it's a very good sign for Wladimir that his ATG status is being argued while he still in his prime. Most ATG's today were never considered great in their day....

Well nobody wanted to get smashed by Tyson's shots and tried to play it safe but Tyson made it happen. Same with Trinidad, Pacquiao, damn even Calzaghe wasmore willing to prove his greatness against better opposition. etc. Make it happen, stalk ur opponents and finish themor batter the hellout of them. Agreed Wlad hasn't been in a close fight in ages. But answer this, When was the last time you saw Wlad in an entertaining fight???

    - How much has Wlad being white/European to do with him getting criticised?

    - I know boxers have to walk through walls to get respect
    - But he beats people put in front of him
    - And everyone they put in front of him - he beats
    - Still think Haye has the ingredients to beat him though.....silly of me I know - but just can't help thinking Haye the necessary tools.

Again, you don't like his style, and that's fine.. You'd think by now , someone would have trained a boxer to beat them and their one dimensional technique. Besides the few that have, years earlier. They've been on the scene for a while.
And in the eventuality that they happen to lose later in their career( which happens to most fighters as they age) , man the **** is gonna come raining down on them.

Chris Byrd has wins over Holyfield and Vitali. Rahman KO'd a prime Lennox Lewis. Briggs beat George Foreman. Same Peter beat James Toney twice. Sultan Ibragimov beat Holyfield.

So then, does that mean the above fighters from the Klitschko era are ATG's then?

I actually never thought about it that way.

Lol! Dude ...just stop. Ibragimov and Byrd both beat Holyfield fairly easily and Moorer split decisioned an Evander Holyfield who was having heart troubles during their first fight. What happened in the rematch??

Wladimir is light years ahead of Moorer. Not trying to take anything away from Double M ...he was a good fighter. But not in Wladimir's league

The eras of Joe Louis, Marciano, Holmes & Jack Johnson were worse. Joe Louis fought the infamous bum of the month club because he era was so devoid of talent. Marciano was reduced to fighting old men & Louis way past his prime. Larry Holmes couldn't even knockout Tex Cobb, who was little more than & circus strongman, at best a journeyman. Mike Tyson fought a string of bums & nobodies to build his early KO percentage and reputation.

Wladimir achieved more than Michael Moorer a long time ago, he's ahead of Riddick Bowe too.

Exactly. And what is one of the most famous things that Louis is remembered for?? His title defense streak. And who were most of those defenses against? Right :good

Very true. Lennox Leiws wasn't hated when he was active, most of my casual boxing friends said he'll never be considered great, Bowe & Tyson would beat him & that his chin was ****.

Lewis is now considered top 5 All Time & I have him in the Top 3 myself. Head to head he's a nightmare opponent for any Heavyweight in history including George Foreman, Ali, Louis, Marciano, Dempsey & Holmes.

Wladimir will eventually get the WBC unified with the rest of his belts & that will cement his legacy alongside all these other great names in the Top 10 All Time Heavyweights.

Way ahead of Bowe. Wladimir has 10 defenses now of his IBF and IBO titles. I think he will end up having over 20 when it's all said and done.

Let me make a post directed at anyone who is either blind, or plain stupid because I'm getting tired of saying the same thing over and over again.

Wladimir Klitschko, in my opinion, is not a top 10 ATG. At all. He is top 20. And by the end of his career can be top 15.

Anyone who has a problem with this statement, present me viable reasons why he should be, instead of saying 'ohhh but he deserves to be an atg' as if I haven't already said that.

Secondly, if your bringing up Rahman knocking out Lewis etc and facetiously saying this should make him an ATG and disregarding everything else required to hold such high status, then you are just being a ***** for the sake of it.
