And when Wladimir unifies the WBC strap he will be the first in history to have all four major titles. WBO, WBC, IBF, and WBA :good

Where did people rate Lewis in 1999, three to four years before his retirement? :deal

Why do people feel they can judge Wlad's ATG rating way before he's done fighting?

If there was afro-americans size 2.00-2.20 meter in boxing it would be a different world.
All big talentet americans play basketball. The simple truth.
To see Klitschkos fight the Hayes and Solis of this world..... its like see a cruiserweight fight a middleweight. Big guys beat smaller guys.. just like in school.. remember ?

These Klit-tards have no right to slate George, Wlad would be totally obliterated by Foreman in his prime.

Olympic Gold Medal, closing in on 60 wins with 50 knockouts, has arguably only lost a number of rounds that can be counted with two hands, now has 10 title defenses, ALL his wins have been dominate ...nothing really even close, and in just another year or two when Vitali retires, he will become the first with all four major belts. Imo he is in the top 10.

The same story for Jack Johnson. His era was weak too. One of his biggest wins was over Stanley Ketchel, who weighed in at 175 or less, around a 30 lb. difference! Many of his fights were considered boring and Jack was famous for holding, hitting while holding, etc.

Where did you rate Lewis in 1999 :deal See how stupid that argument is?

The point is that Wald still has the chance to become a top 10 ATG if he racks up a string of wins over 6-7 contenders and retires unbeaten. And he is always at risk of derailing his entire legacy by being knocked out by an unknown nobody.

Why do guys like yourself assume it is *IMPOSSIBLE* for Wlad to achieve a top 10 ATG legacy? He has 3-4 years left, if not more.

I have Wlad at around 12 or so right now, if he retired tomorrow & didn't add the WBC belt or any more defenses to his resumé. If/when he adds the WBC belt & defends another 5 or so times he'll easily be Top 10, possibly higher. He already has many wins over previously undefeated champions & contenders and he holds one of the highest KO percentages in the history of the division. His jab will be remembered as top 3 all time at Heavy.....................his single punch power could be argued as Top 3 as well, at least top 5.

It's pro boxing, I don't think Olympics should count.

And the reason he does not get in my top 10, is because he has dominated against weak opposition. It is no doubt a great achievement to do what he has done, I don't think racking up defences against the likes of Sultan Ibragimov, Calvin Brock & Sam Peter are in reality, as good as they look laid out on paper.

Secondly because I believe there are more than 10 more skilled heavyweights in boxing history, and that despite his efficiency, he is somewhat limited, much more-so than many other ATG's.

This by no means makes him a bad boxer. But it's very easy to see why people do not rate his legacy as high as hardcore klitschko fans do, because the division, as it is, is very weak.

....................and with Vitali retiring soon he'll have a shot & total, complete unification. It's not like there's any real threats coming up the ranks either although Helenius, Boytsov, Povetkin, Price, Chisora & Fury are beginning to make waves.

I have always rated Lewis very highly, but this isn't about Lewis is it, and that will just take us down a different route.

Guys like myself 'assume' (beleive) it is impossible for Wlad to acheive a top to ATG status, because there is nothing he can do in his remaining years to warant it.

He will do what he has done for the past 10 years, jab to death unimpressive mandatory challengers. He won't surprise me or show me something in his locker that I didn't know he had, he won't beat anyone that is in reality, any good.

I said earlier, it's not his fault, he can only beat what's infront of him, but he still doesn't get infront of people who have either

    A) Displayed a more impressive skillset, despite perhaps having an equally poor resume of names (Tyson)

    or

    B) Beaten much better fighters

He can reign for 50 years against **** opposition but it doesn't change the fact I don't think he would fare well against many other ATG's.

It was considered "very weak" when Louis had his reign and the same with Marciano. Even though those two are considered and no doubt ARE all time greats.

You have a right to your opinion though. As do I :good

ah it's basketball too? not only the nfl :patsch

How come the only country who uses this excuse is America?

Ok, let's play your game. All the best middle and super middle weights play soccer.

And all the British, African, Austrialian etc etc heavyweights play rugby.

Don't you see how stupid that argument is?
