That’s exactly what I’m saying, Canelo changed his style a lot between 154 and 168, he doesn’t throw combinations anymore. He isn’t worse, he is just different.

I’d say instead of worse he is looking “disinterested” I guess those are the same thing? Maybe Crawford will wake him up, he also of late looks quite stiff perhaps the extra weight he has? he was never Napoles but lately it’s quite prominent. Canelo is a very skilled fighter he’s one of the few guys around that’s a qualifier for being called a “throwback” and it’s been that way for a while with shrinking company every year. I’d say there are things Louis does better than Canelo but I agree with this basic point that 160lbers are just plain more skilled then the HW’s on average.

That too but Im talking about his style, Canelo is visibly undersized and carries a lot of bulk at 168, he can’t throw combinations anymore, takes too much energy and he can’t hurt people with it. That’s why he is picking shots and only throws loaded-up shots when he finds an opening, he needs to do so to actually hurt people and get them backing up.
