George Foreman is commonly criticized for having a somewhat padded record. While I agree that he fought more than his share of journeyman, tomato cans, clubfighters, etc, his best body of works sizes up pretty well to the top fighters that other champions have beaten. No, he did not beat as many ranked fighters as some champions that we can think of, but his top tier wins are arguably as good or better than most.

    HIS BEST 4 VICTORIES

    1. Joe Frazier

    2. Ken Norton

    3 Ron Lyle

    4. Michael Moorer

I can't think of too many other champions other than Muhammad Ali and a few others who had a better top 4 collection of wins than those. Sure, some of the second tier wins don't size up well to the second tiers of other champions, but a champion is typically remembered for his very best work. On the list above, you have two prime current lineal champions, a future champ, and an all time great contender. All 4 of them were either stopped or knocked out.

    HONORABLE MENTION

    Joe Louis defeated

    1. Max Schmenling

    2. Joe Walcott

    3. Max Baer

    4 James Braddock

    5. Primo Carnera

    6. Jack Sharkey

There are six men on that list who at one point in time held world titles. The first four are probably his best. I don't know if anyone of them were as good as Joe Frazier, but still its a great list.

    Muhammad Ali beat

    1. Sonny Liston

    2. Joe Frazier

    3. Goerge Foreman

    4. Ken Norton

    5. Floyd Patterson

Another great list that I'd place ahead of Foreman's, especially considering that Foreman's head is mounted on that wall.

Other than Louis or Ali, I can't think of any others who really had a better top 4 or 5.

If we are talking only wins and disregarding the loses, Evander Holyfield has some good wins.

    1. Tyson

    2. Mercer

    3. Foreman

    4. Bowe

    5. Moorer
