Gardner might actually have the better wins. It's really hard to know where Fitz was at when O'Brien beat him, though he did atleast beat him. I suspect if they had a few fights at their primes they'd probably go either way, probably either O'Brien by points or Gardner by KO.
O'brien had more skills, though he was a little chinny. Gardner was a solid light heavy with some power. If they fought, I'd pick O'brien over 15 or 20 rounds.
