**** waste of time. He could have gone in and won prize fighter,,,built up a great little rep on the show and ended up with a fight against Magee for the Euro belt...and probably being favorite to win that....


...but no he is ****ing about doibg this.

We know what they want but it ain't justifiable. I could make a highlight reel if I go out knocking tramps out.

 

You think HBO would show a clip of you beating tramps up? Because unless you are in Groves position its a pointless comparision.

 

He's still only 22 isnt he? I'd give him the benefit of the doubt for now- US TV debut if he wins by KO gives him a bit of exposure and paydays.

 

I agree he would of been better of defending his commonwealth against Dilks or David on Sky.

HBO are 100% highlights though.

 

As I've said before, it's a good move.

Get him boxing away from his fans, against a different type of opponent to what he's likely to get on the home front.

Plus, who are we to say ''he should defend his Commonwealth against Dilks'' (or whoever else)

Let's see..... a chance to box in Vegas on one of the biggest events of the year or defend a Commonwealth title against an average opponent in front of two men and his dog?

Groves will probably be on when the venue is empty apart from the BN correspondant and the ref...the opponent looks poor too.

 

Untelevised undercard, but it will be broadcasted live on Ring Magazine's website. They'll probably show highlights of that and Bika-Mendy during the telecase as well. As for the opponent, it's just a show-me fight, to introduce Groves to the American audience. I could easily see him becoming a star over here eventually, considering his style and ability.

 

Is he the one British prospect that Americans have their eye on?
