George Groves-Boxing Writers' Young Fighter of the Year.

Nope. More people thought that Groves had won it. Along with 90% of the arena at the time.

 

I could swear a poll was done the day after the fight and most felt Degale won. My memory must be ****ed.

I thought Degale edged it and therefore still consider him a better prospect. Additionally I thought we saw the best of Groves and sub-par Degale.

Degale only looked better against guys that did what he wanted them to do. At no time did groves do what Degale wanted him to do in that fight and for me he was the clear winner. Dirrell had good things to say about Groves as had Froch. Me thinks there is more to Groves than most are seeing at the moment.

 

The majority of posters on here felt the decision vs Degale was the correct one.

Anyway, well done to Groves on getting this award.
