    Possibly but this is going to be a UD. We'll see how good Eubanks Jr is. Brain is telling me Groves should win this but Groves could already past his best.

    what a palaver of a press conference. I dont think Chris shouldda mentioned Froch, that irked 2G.

    If he cant I don't see him keeping the pace eubank will set
    The closer it gets the more I lean to a jr points win
    And I couldn't split them when announced
    But then again wtf do I know

    I just can't call it anymore. Groves, a natural SMW, world class jab, decent skill, but fades in the later rounds and gets involved in a tear up when he doesn't have to, plus his chin is not amazing. Eubank, excellent stamina/workrate, fresher fighter, decent chin, but not a natural SMW, doesn't look good against boxers that move, foot work isn't amazing.

    I'm edging towards Eubank as he's fresher and Groves has had a lot of wars. If Groves uses the ring, utilises his jab and can conserve energy for the later rounds he can get a UD, but that is a big if.

    Insane opinion. You think the likes of Kovalev, Beterbiev and co couldn't put a dent in CEJ? He'd get brutalized at LHW.

    Eubank is not a step up. Groves has been in with better fighters than Eubank that’s for sure.

    ‘If Chris Eubank over commits against George Groves, he’s in trouble’

    Olympian light-heavyweight Joshua Buatsi has been sparring George Groves, and he reports that the super-middleweight world champion hits as hard as an elite cruiserweight

    OLYMPIC bronze medallist Joshua Buatsi has travelled the country getting in top class sparring, including George Groves, as the WBA super-middleweight world champion prepares for his showdown with Chris Eubank Jr in Manchester later this month.

    “I sparred Groves two weeks ago, I had two sessions with him. That was good and I’ve been sparring a lot with Lawrence [Okolie] and my key sparring partner Duane Sinclair. So I’ve been getting the rounds in,” Buatsi said.


    “We did eight rounds [with Groves], two sets of eight, good sparring with Groves very competitive. Groves and Lawrence [a cruiserweight] are the hardest hitters I’ve ever been in with. Groves and Lawrence… They hit hard. That’s why I’m saying if Lawrence lands that right hand, I mean the fight is over. That’s it.”

    Buatsi gave his view of the Eubank fight. “I haven’t been in with Eubank, I haven’t sparred him before. I just feel that if he over commits then he could be in trouble from Groves. Groves is very calculated, calculating in what he does. He’s quite thoughtful about his work. But then Eubank brings youth, fitness, eagerness, which is good. It’s got the ingredients for a good fight again,” he said.

    “He’s got a world title and that was good sparring. It wasn’t like round one I got hit to the body and I’m on one knee thinking actually this is too much. It was actually good, competitive sparring. That’s the key word competitive. It was really good. I enjoyed it.

    “I sparred [James] DeGale before, years ago in the amateurs. He was a pro, that was ages ago. There’s not many top pros that I’ve sparred but I’m always getting good work.”

    if Chris mixes it, hes in trouble. I dont think hes got the gameplan to beat 2G, nor the acumen on the cuff.

    Eubank Snr might as well have brought a ventroliquists dummy into the press conference shaped in a grinning caricature of juniors face for all the contribution that li'l Chris made.
