Froch seems to think Groves has a glass jaw and as soon as he lands a big shot the fight will be over. Do you think Groves can take Frochs power? Groves has been hurt before by Anderson and been slighty rocked by a Paul Smith right hand but I wouldn't say he jaw is glass.
any fighter that goes down these days apparently has a glass jaw, i think froch feels confident knowing groves has been dropped on his backside before more than thinking he has a glass jaw, i mean froch has been dropped before aswell so maybe groves is thinkingthe same
Froch has never been a 'One Punch Knockout Artist' but it is my opinion that once he backs Groves up on the ropes later on in the fight we will see a Bute Style Explosion, Punches in Bunches, and Groves on his back, somehow managing to climb from the Canvas but the Ref waving it off. Round 7/8
interesting how groves openly admitted the knockdown in sparring then said a week later he schooled froch and he was speechless lol.
I found that interesting too, you could just tell Froch was slightly speechless and Groves looked to be telling the truth. An honest man can't lie very well and Froch appeared to be taking a humbling silence on that one. Andre Dirrell quoted back in 2010 that Groves was a real real handful for him in sparring!
Theres a difference between being dropped by taylor & kenny anderson.. lol Groves is going to get destroyed.
This fight is getting so over hyped.... think logicaly! Don't let other things get in the way... initial thoughts groves v froch.. froch too strong and will KO groves. Groves isn't this slick guy people seem to be seeing :S... he can box to a gameplan sure but it was against james degale.. froch is a different animal.
Jermain Taylor has what, 1 stoppage win at SMW against nobody of note and was a natural MW. In fairness to Groves, Anderson can punch.
I see Groves winning this fight quite comfortably tbh, he's better technically than Carl Froch is, got a better jab, better footwork and hits just as hard imo, I see an 8 - 4 type decision, Froch will realize he's behind on the scorecards after 6/7 rounds and spend the entire fight looking for one big shot, but Groves' chin will pass the test.
