Your comment on khan was a joke right?

From what I remember of the weigh in Carl looks to be about 6 percent, george closer to 10 percent

its a posture thing. groves and price in particular hunch over with a curved upper back and arent in an optimal position to recieve force. carl on the other hand has great posture: straight back, chest up and chin down. this is why he can take the damage he can.

Bone density plays an important role in punch resistance.

Haha yeah was a joke about khans...but the joke might be on me afterall. I m sure i seen an interview with him saying he was 3% body fat in camp before some fight a while back and he came across like he was bragging about it like khan does...that wasn't even on the scales. I say thats dangerous going into a 12 round fight, without being an expert on body fat. I would have said by looking at the two fighters on the scales the other day that george had the lower of the two body fat...but it's quite a hard thing to tell especially if you're not too clued up about it like me. I thought george looked dry...whereas froch looked too thin/smaller built but healthy with it.

There's no way khan was 3% body fat, look at professional bodybuilders, they are 3%. They get down to that level for competitions and stay there for about a day as it's not physically possible to maintain it healthily.

The dryness your talking about doesn't really have a lot to do with actual body-fat levels. look at the separations in each of their muscles, carls got a lot deeper cuts and defined separations.

Have a look at a side by side pic and its clear to see that Carl's BF % is a few points below Grove's. I'd estimate Carl is around 8-9% whilst Groves is about 13% or so

You can't judge a fighter on his physique.

Cheers London...i m sure there was a lot of people commenting on it at the time...he wasn't ever 3%, he said he was tho i m sure...think someone had been telling him wrong information tbf...and khan being khan thought it was another good reason why he would win the fight lol.

Big i know that was wrong...wasn't saying that george had the lower body fat...i knew by what london said that he never...but i said thats what it looked like to me...admittedly i dont know much about body fat...but knew it wasn't that helpful looking at how thin/dry someone is as london mentioned has mentioned.

Does carl usually look as good as that on the scales...he looked chiselled but also looked smaller framed than usual?? Am i just imagining that??

With big Bruno he was very muscular maybe too muscular, but I wouldn't say he was generally unfit, just a bit lactic acid built up in his muscles, but then he still did pretty well. The point I was trying to make was neither of adrenalin, but super fit top level boxers take all that in there stride. With groves he was in with a very good puncher and top level fighter in froch, but he did get hit a lot more in the second fight of course the ko punch he was never gonna take, he should be able to withstand to his gameplan and out box froch to the end. Even too fast fury and chinzora can do 12 rounds at a decent pace, so what makes them so much fitter than David price. Does he spend too much time fitting pipes or going out for spares then he does training? With prices knockdown and stoppages he's usually off balance, combine it with low fitness and a not very good punch resistance. Grocery won't hack it doing 12 rounds against top 10 competition, froch won't be the only person to highlight the stamina issues.

I dont agree it's low fitness or stamina as such...the real problem is...these guys are coming in the ring supremely fit but regardless of that when they get tagged that fitness/stamina goes out the window. Doesn't matter how fit they get them...not by that much anyway
