From what Groves said after the fight, he had a verygood camp, he certainly had no complaints... Disruptive yes, but he was happy with his conditioning and gameplan.

Aye he said he had a good camp with Paddy with no complaints. The only thing critical i could say about George was he ended up fighting Froch's kind of fight, but that comes with experience and he's got that now.

I think what we all need to remember is groves is only 25, that is scary considering the way he handled the pressure of the last fight. He has venom in both hands and not many people would truly shake froch with a jab which groves did often. He will definately become champ one day, I just wish after giving froch the beating of his life in round 6 he would of carried on boxing, I think he got a little over confident at the end of that round and that's where he lost the fight but with the crowd behind him and hitting froch at will it must of been hard not to keep following the plan.

Agree, could do with developing a left hook especially one that buzzes people, I question his power in his left hand.

Yeah if Froch felt it was because he didn't train right he would scream for a rematch, his reluctance tells me he knows Groves is just better no matter how Carl trains. IMO he is second only to Ward and if i'm honest he can be the next big star in British boxing.

Groves has good tools indeed but don't think he would ever beat Ward. He is too vulnerable but is still an improving fighter.

Totally agree. His power was impressive and his game plan was nearly perfect apart from not pacing himself better and engaging too much in the last 2 rounds. He really had Froch in serious trouble and I don't think any boxer has had him in such a bad state.

Groves is a classy boxer and it'll be interesting to see him progress, it's just a shame the Froch fight had to end in this way. I rather see him fight others than a rematch where it was one-sided for most of the fight.

I certainly think he will be a world champion within the next year. He needs the right promoter to help get these fights. I really believe he is the only one who could pressure Andre Ward and give him a difficult fight. I dont believe he can beat Ward but it would be good to see if he can push him. He certainly as the power and fast hands to worry anyone.

I would like to see him fight Stieglitz or Bika early this year

    I think he'd beat Ward.

Ward hasn't fought anyone with the combination of speed, power and boxing ability that Groves has got. I honestly think Groves is good enough to get through Ward's admittedly excellent defence and if he hits him, I think he'd eventually stop him. Ward doesn't have the chin that Froch has (and Froch was hurt by Groves), nor does Ward have the power to shake or stop Groves imo.

Groves is talented. He's athletic, explosive and is a decent boxer but he has flaws in his technique. Ward would beat him easily.

Yeah he got dragged into a 'scrap' with froch, let him back into the fight. Maybe got abit carried away and lost the gameplan abit, hardly blame him after the 6 round hiding he had given froch though!

The cards were a disgrace lol, even so I think if he would of got through the round he could of readjusted, both men were very tired but I honestly think froch was laying it all on the line that round, not sure if he could of pushed on afterwards...

    Frustratingly we will never know.

The scoring was just as criminal as the stoppage if you ask me. And yeah Froch looked out on his feet when Foster jumped in and grabbed Groves in a headlock.
