But just be objective Ryan....you obviously hate Froch which is fine, but this fight had two sides to the story and your posts are so one sided it is laughable.
Incidentally, in my opinion, Groves has made a mistake in calling so loudly for a rematch with Froch. Instead, he should have just said this: Everyone saw that I beat Froch all around the ring: everyone knows it should never have been stopped, and the scores on the judges cards just prove that there was a heavy bias towards Froch, intentional or otherwise. The moral victory is mine. So the way I see it, I dont really need a rematch with Froch. Ive already proven Im too strong for him, and proven that Im world class, so Im looking ahead to other opportunities. Of course, if Froch wants a rematch, Id be prepared to consider it. Why not? After all, Ive already shown conclusively that Im too strong for him, so why should I avoid a rematch? And given that everyone thinks the result of the first fight was a disgrace, there would be lots of public interest, making for a nice payday for Carl as well as me. But it isnt that big a deal. This would have five advantages: 1. It would wind Froch up no end; 2. It makes a rematch more likely; 3. It would wind Froch up no end; 4. If there isnt a rematch, it would look like Groves had risen above it; and, most importantly, 5. It would wind Froch up no end.
Control matters to froch, so by making it his choice, perhaps he would be more likely to commit to a rematch... However, I honestly think froch wants no part in a rematch, Groves hurt him, bullied him at times, and whilst he got the 'stoppage' I think in his heart he knows it was a gift, even if he felt the momentum has quite correctly shifted in that round. Plus as it is so personal between the fighters, he can always say even near the end of my career, we fought I won, end of.
Could possibly be the best SMW. I also think Groves could have gone on to have won, but we will never know and that is just my opinion. I dont think Groves was too shook up and looked like he was still in there. He was moving away from the punches when the ref jumped in. I wouldnt be shocked if Groves were to beat Ward. Groves has experience in beating undefeated SMW Olympic gold medallists and when have we seen Ward against a decent big punching SMW who has movement? He didnt fight Bute who I would have favoured over him
No, i don't have to be objective Westy. And if you look at my posts i said Groves let Froch back into the fight, but i stand by what i said Groves wasn't just fighting Froch in there he was fighting the ref and the judges. As for me hating Froch, No that is untrue but who the f*ck are you to come out with a statement like that anyway? Your obviously a Froch fan who is defending this B.S stoppage. If i am to be honest i hated the stoppage and that fat corrupt ***** who forced it. It gets worse every time i see it. It was a paper win for Froch IMO.
Agree with your post, and would tentatively pick Groves over Ward myself, but Ward Compared to Degale is a whole different proposition. At the very least would be a very good fight, with a small chance of happening quite soon
groves is a great talent but lets face it froch was awful and has aged overnight, fair enough he has never been easy on the eye but his previous fights his movement has been way better than against groves, the whole stoppage thing is getting really boring now we all saw it lets move on
:huh:huh:huh In what parallel universe is Manchester "home town" to a guy from Nottingham?
It was on frochs promoters show as groves was/is a free agent
Be interesting to see frochs next fight, how far he has regressed etc. Maybe be able to puthow well Groves did in perspective aswell.
I will lose all my respect for Froch if he does not give Groves a rematch.............a lot of fans want to see that rematch..........
Froch wouldn't even make my top 3 UK SMW fighters so I'm not a huge fan, I also think he is a C**t outside the ring. But when brain dead people post stupid stuff about him or post so one sided arguements then i will post. We all know it was a BS stoppage, save yourself the time and energy posting that every two minutes
I think people are getting blinded. I like the kid first off, he's got everything to go far. But he had a blinder against Froch, dominated and dropped him yet was in massive trouble in the 9th looking spent after Foster let him go. Her won't find the target as easy on many other top SMW as he did on Froch, if anything Froch is tailor made for him to look great. He's certainly going to be in the mix over the next 5 years, but reading this thread you would think he was more than he is.
He was undoubtedly tired, they both were, I think he went to his knees more in disbelief than his legs not being able to support him. He was in trouble, but his style is to move when in trouble; that coupled with frochs 'charging' made him look less in control than if he would of covered up on the ropes and attempted to roll with the punches, which ofcourse froch would of preferred him to do. Frochs style was tailor made for him I agree, but it is everything else he showed aswell, as to the reason he is getting the 'hype', namely a very hard right, improved speed and courage, even if the latter along with ego got him dragged more into frochs style fight.
