Won't know if he was seconds away or not because the fight didn't come to a natural conclusion, hence the rematch where all matters where put to bed.

Fair enough, likewise around me I had those who favoured Froch thinking Groves was edging it.. most people where split. Like I said before Sky had Froch up, HBO had Groves up -there wasn't much in the fight, Froch himself admitted it was neck and neck until he landed that big right hand.

Either way, it's done and dusted Froch was the man who came out on top. Hopefully Froch gets the big night in Vegas he's craving & Groves becomes a world champion.

Hopefully he will. I worry if Froch does not get November fight and leaves it till next May. Think that would be a huge mistake. He should fight this year or not at all. He is a British boxing legend and I for one am a huge fan and hope he goes out in style

Seems to me like slimy Eddy wants the Degale fight bad. No matter that Degale might beat a Froch who's getting old. Would pain me to see that.

So? Sparring is sparring. You work on things you've been practicing in the gym so that come fight night, you're more than prepared. Not by any means comparing Groves to Tyson here but for example Tyson was stopped as an amateur and dropped in sparring did he have a glass jaw? Then we also have the usual sparring rumours e.g. supposedly Eubank Jr dropped Froch in sparring...

He's been down twice as a pro... once as a young 21 year old against Anderson who's hardly feather fisted in which he was basically straight up and once against a top world class fighter which was an absolute bomb.

From what I've seen of Groves, he's not someone I'd label as having a glass jaw.

No but it proves his punch resistance on the chin is not top level

seriously where have all the groves fans gone ?

the people calling for frochs retirement after that heavy first round knock down , groves could very well be done mentally and in the chin department after that crushing knockout in the 8th , he had two attempts with carl and could not get to the championship rounds in either contest , all the last fight did whilst groves went in there knowing he would win is leave a lot of questions regaurding groves at world level

Probably waiting for groves' next fight.

Or he could very well not.

Well the referee played a big part in that in the 1st fight.

Of course there are going to be question marks regarding Groves at world level because he hasn't had many fights at world level.
