how come the organisers wanted to replace groves and not move the final because of the injury yet they moved the cruiser final because of usyk's injury and not replace him???

Groves is coming back from serious injury and surgery. Usyk's was a minor injury.

When the WBSS was announced I called out the end of Groves career, to my eye he was a shot fighter waiting to be put out to pasture. I was widely derided by the hard of thinking on chb.

Immediately after going twelve rounds with a green young CHRIS I suggested groves would never fight again, and CHRIS should take his place in the final. I was banned from chb for spouting such uncomfortable truths to the flock.

Now we will see, my Eye for the game tells me Georgie was never then same since he was cobradx2, then his soul was methodically, ruthlessly deleted through twelve rounds of in ring hell courtesy of the novice middleweight war machine young Christopher.

For GEORGE’S Health and future I’m praying he sees sense and listens to his body. His body says cobradx2 is for life and young CHRIS has punched your ticket to the retirement home. Thank him and move on, you’ve had a good career.

To be honest I think the SMW limit is really starting to hurt him, Twentyman mentioned he thinks he's right on the limit and I'd agree, I think he's starting to be drained and its hampering his performances. Notice lack of snap on his punches which lots of people have mentioned, compared to before.

imo that's due to the weight cutting rather then being shot, only had to see how he looked in the face for the Eubank weigh-in.

Eubanks was 29 for the Groves fight with27 fights under his belt compared to Groves' 31 and at 30 Groves was just a year older. How the **** was he, young/ green?

Groves is shot to pieces. Cobradx2 added around ten years to his in ring age. Twelve rounds with young green CHRIS punched his pension for him.

I’ve been watching boxing long enough to know your birth certificate can say what it likes, it ain’t helping you in the ring. According to your logic Ricky Hatton is a thirty something year old man because that’s what his birth certificate says.

Feel free to attempt to refute any of the facts I’ve presented. Should be amusing for the rest of us

I’ve a better idea, why don’t you pass me that crack pipe you’ve been consulting when shot George steps in the ring again.

Eubank at 29 is not young and with 27 fights neither is he green, there are 4 fights and one year between them. I' ve been watching boxing for well over 50 years and practised it too,Don't give us the elder statesman routine.
Not after making remarks like you did!

If Groves is shot to pieces then that doesn’t reflect well on Junior who got schooled at times and should have been counted twice. He popped his shoulder out from constantly bouncing his jab off Junior’s head.

The thread is about George groves, young CHRIS’ only role in this thread is as the guy who, in all likelihood, retired George for good (Froch will rightly take the credit but junior sealed the deal)

Chris is young enough to come again, George is beyond old enough to hang em up. In ring age.

You know the Froch fight was 4 years ago don’t you when he was in his mid 20’s...how do you retire someone 4 years ago who then goes on to win a world title?

On your logic, Groves surely retired Froch?

There’s levels to boxing and young Christopher as you keep calling him is a few notches below.

Going 18/19 rounds or whatever with the COBRA added a decade onto Groves' in ring age. Its the main reason the guy is a shot fighter in his late twenties or early thirties or whatever irrelevant number his birth certificate would point to.

Froch retired on his own terms, it would take a special kind of stupid to not see the difference. Bad example.
