I've seen a few fights of Groves lately and I'm impressed. Usually the British/European boxing grading scale is lower then the American scale but I'm impressed with Groves, fights just like Martinez. A fighter can be 40-0 in Germany, Russia or England come to America and lose to a nobody, happens quite often. Groves is good.
**** for brains...Martinez lost to Margarito and Paul Williams, sure as hell would lose to 200 pound Froch. Does size not seem to be relevant to you ESB buffoons?
Insulting a stranger doesn't validate your point. If anything it proves you have the "faeces" for brains and have to resort to trying call me names to somehow reinforce your point and deal with your insecurity. Annnnyway i wasn't saying literally, you were the one who said they were similar so i was putting Martinez in Groves's position. Remember you wrote "bigger" patsch Guess that bit was a bit hard to work out as you raged against the keyboard. :cus:boxx
No he is better. Groves schooled Farl Croch way better than Andre 'glass chin' Fraud did. He was then robbed by a ref Eddie Hearn paid off.
Pretty much disagree with all of this, except for the last sentence. Groves is a good fighter, but definately not on Martinez's level. He's pretty fast, has some pop, but has a weak chin and mentally doesn't look recovered from the Froch fight Also completely disagree with he usA/Europe stuff too. How many times has a russian or European fighter come over to make an American fighter look good, and then it backfired on them? Quite a few. If your going to parrot Malignaggi, why not mention that Huck was fighting a dude that never fought in America either.
I don't really see the similarities. Different stances, different guards, Martinez is less orthodox, doing things less talented fighters can't do, while Groves is more conventional. Martinez holds his feet closer and uses more movement, looks to come in at awkward angles, Groves had wider feet, more poised and balanced, fights in front of his opponent more.
A 200lb Froch? Lol, Froch himself says he walks around a few lbs north of 168, so since when did he become 200lbs? He didn't want to move up to 175 because he said he was a mould for a true Super Middleweight.
Him and Groves are not all that similar, but Sergio is and always has bee hugely overrated on here. Froch has had a better career by far.
