People act like Sky have unreal UK viewing. Most cards get less than 100,000 viewers, Groves will sign with Sauerland and 6-8m people will watch him on German TV.

The UK is a very small fish, in a huge boxing pond. It's a great move by Groves, plus Sauerland will still pimp him out for a Degale rematch if he beats Froch, due to the money it'll make and with the German/English time difference - they can afford to put Groves in English venues and still get good rating in Germany.

Groves is wary of Eddie Hearn and Matchroom.

He is always saying "rival promoter"...."I don't have hard feelings towards Eddie" etc. Something tells me that Eddie tried to rail road him into a deal and George - as young as he is - was wise to it and made his feelings well known.

Also, him being so tight with Carl doesn't help matters either.

They must believe he's going to win then, because Groves worth is greatly depending on that.

I thought you had to go through him to get on if your not a matchroom fighter?

Wasn't that one of the reasons why Khan went to BN-pretty sure Eddie said so himself..he was also one of the promoters for Haye-Fury so that's why that got the green light for Box office.

Win or lose, could Kalle be lining up Kessler for Groves next?

I think Sauerland may be changing their TV deal?

Hearn already has Froch, nearing end of his career, DeGale, peak of his career, and Callum Smith, who is an amazing prospect and likely to take the majority of Hearns resources at Super Middle, so tbh, it wouldn't surprise me if Hearns offer wasn't all that great. This way, Groves, sets himself up for fights with Kessler, Abraham, Stigleitz and Bika, and the the big domestic showdowns will still happen down the line, and possibly still on Sky PPV if it makes sense. Also, Kalle has spent a lot of his life in London and knows Groves and the boxing scene very well.

Eddie and the Sauerlands seem pretty tight, I wouldnt be suprised to see Groves stay on Matchroom cards without been a Matchroom fighter. A good solution for all involved I would think.

Groves fighting back on BN would be a bad move.

Why let all that UK exposure go to waste. Hopefully groves and sauerland have got a new deal with sky.
