the problem with Anderson is what has he done since losing to Groves. pretty much just sat on his arse.
True. He hasn't exactly done much to warrant a rematch - other than his performance in the 1st fight. He did lose that fight despite getting Georgie in trouble, he doesn't deserve a rematch. He should work to put himself in a position that would set up the rematch. I would like to see Anderson-Groves II, but I think Groves will move on the challenge for the EBU before Kenny gets his arse into gear.
Why? For me it's a better option than Anderson who has done nothing since losing to Groves last time out. If he racks up a few wins first, then they can do it again. But until then, it's pretty pointless. Too high a risk, too low of a reward.
It's nothing to do with how worthy of an opponent he is, there's underlying circumstances as to why, and as a result I doubt he'll be anybody's opponent, nevermind Groves'.
Not sure what you're trying to get at, because you'll find I neer suggested an Anderson rematch, I merely said that Brinkley is not a viable opponent for a specific reason. Problem with that? For what it's worth, I've vehemently protested against the possiblity of a Prescott rematch.
He needs to fight SOMEONE its liek Donaire he gets all this hype froma great (if controversial in groves' case) win and then doesnt build on it.
Trust me thats not the case. He took a week off then i dont think he has had a day off training since. He has been really unlucky we were really let down by the hattons. Then a show he was on got cancelled. He was due to fight this sat and his opponent pulled out at the last min. He has now signed with Steve Woods and is boxing July 10th. He is desperte to get back in the mix
fair enough but it doesn't mean Groves should fight him and then if he beats him theres another ready made excuse.
