The undercard's not appalling like some are making out, I've seen far worse for a PPV. Just it's hardly the bees' knees either. Bellew vs Chilemba II will be another stink-a-roonie but since it's final eliminator I guess it's still an important and interesting match-up. Groves's fight though, he will bomb this no mark out in 3 and there's not even a title or a ranking on the line. No incentive whatsoever to watch that one unless you're a hardcore Groves fan.

The rest of the card will be made up of prospects and even then, the best prospect they have (Kal Yafai) is out injured so we'll get stuck with Cardle and Ochieng instead. Can't be expected to fork out £15 for that, even if it does have a fantastic main event like Froch vs Kessler.

The Hatton bill back in November was way better but even that had trouble convincing people to pay £15.

People still don't seem to understand that Booth controls Groves career, not Hearn.

As for the PPV, I'd pay the money just to see the main event, but yeah the undercard is kak.

But Hearn will let Booth know how much money he has to work with.

That's what I said pretty much, just worded it a bit more gently.

BoxingAnalyst is right. Audley Harrison's fight with Wilder is more interesting than anything on this undercard.

Audley ****ing Harrison, the sport's novelty act, people think what he's doing is more watchable. That must feel like a slap in the face with a very big fish for Eddie.

Doesn't mean that affected Booth's thinking.

I think you are reaching a bit mate:lol: I think it would be fair to say that in the past Booth has generally not been afraid to match Haye/Groves tough?

It is interesting that the Harrison fight is the best on the bill and if it wasn't for Hearn giving him a shot in Prizefighter it wouldn't be happening. Think he missed a trick not offering him a fight on this undercard.

Any idea who else is on the undercarrd aside from Bellew Groves and Ochieng. Cardle will be out with the cut he suffered, yafai is injured as well I believe.

Callum Smith will be out again I'd guess, probably Fielding also.

You mean like his last two opponents? :nut He's mandatory for Steiglitz, I can understand why Booth picked this guy.

This is a big night for Sky in terms of them dipping their toe back into the ppv area of boxing. I've heard many say Hearn has misjudged this and dived back in with his one biggish fish too soon. Thing is Froch still isn't a particularly big fish in the wider sporting context. It was rather two-faced on Ringside the other week when they were going on about the first Kessler-Froch fight and how great it was. Sky didn't have much interest at the time though!! Wonder what the odds were back then of a rematch being on Sky Box Office. Pretty long!!

And this Groves fight is pointless other than having an outting. Booth may have his hand up Groves's arse but Hearn doesn't have just go along with it either. He really needs Bellew to back his words up this time

Dont think the cards all that bad, either. Not sure about PPV though.Want Bellew to get the chance to put it right,Chilemba is a very talented boxer, not easy for anybody.Obviously the main events good, but I might be alone in wishing it was Stevenson. This guy is probably a step up from Georges last 2,but not a great challenge.Definitely not prep for a {proposed?}world shot in Sept.
By the way,do they think Steiglitz will come here?Bet he doesn't.They may know this and are building him up in the hopes of landing a shot against somebody next year.Hope so.

Clever one aren't you mate? You said Booth matches Groves tough and was basically pinning the blame on Hearn, Booth controls Groves career, Hearn just gives him the dates.
