This fight shouldn't have been PPV then. Should have done it a different night.

There's a big difference between sparring and fighting. If that was the case, Groves inactivity wouldn't be an issue because you could just say "it's ok, he's sparring all the time, so what does it matter?". That's not how it works.

I think people are going over the top here. It's another keep busy fight so Groves can hone his fitness, it'll earn him a quick payday, he'll get plenty of exposure, he'll give the fans a knockout and he'll rise in the WBC rankings. It's not that big of a deal. If this was the level of opposition Groves was fighting every 4 months, I'd be frustrated too, but it's clear what Booth wants.

It's just not a big deal, at all.

This is a poor fight, and really isn't defensible.

Three weak opponents in the space of 3 months. That's the difference here. He isn't being put in with weak opponents to pad his record or anything like that, he's simply staying active.

It is when it's PPV and the promoter promises a worthy card.

If this fight was on the card last saturday then fair enough. But it's chief support on a PPV. Not good enough.

He lost on points to Sturm a few years back.

It's not chief support since Bellew/Chilemba was added. That's the reason the money has all gone.

Hearn should be ashamed. He has been given an opportunity to put on a different kind of PPV, not the type the failed in the past. He lied and has shown he is just another promoter, its all about charging loads and then saving loads on the actual show.

This coming from someone who has liked Hearn. He deserves stick. Not good enough and should have chosen a different date.

    Exactly the way I feel.

Unbelievable how these promoters and Sky forget why boxing did so well in the past!

Big fan of the work Eddie is doing but this fight is ****.

If Groves wants rounds then do it on another undercard not on something your wanting to charge the public 15-18 quid for.

Not good enough obviously a big part of the budget went on Bellew-Chilemba and that fight has got be better then last time.I am dissapointed I did expect better, they were talking like they were going to get someone good a few weeks ago then we here talk of Manfredo which would of been shite,Sartision would of been passable.
