A fight where Groves movement and variation causes problems for Smith early, but also a fight where Smith's length and power starts to trouble Groves down the stretch, because as we know, Groves slows down and gets ragged later on. Only way Groves can maintain discipline and shape for the full twelve rounds is if he cuts down on activity early in the fight. When he starts fast, he can't.
Callum has looked brilliant no doubt, Rebrasse will be a good measuring stick. Will prob go for the KO which groves was maybe weary of fully trying coming off big loss. Callum - scouser and apparently genuine nice lad, but if had to bet now id go groves !
I like smith myself by stoppage mainly based on his physical advantages - height, reach, vicious body attack which may further magnify Groves stamina issues. I also think that Groves has lost something since THAT knockout. He really is missing Adam Booth at the moment aswell. Also, Groves is a confidence fighter and I think his is shot to **** while Smith likely feels invincible right now.
Maybe i'm being harsh but I honestly do think groves has been cobra'd lol.. he hasn't looked the same at all
I think Smith did well last night though he did ship a fair few shots but I think Rebrasse is more handy than many give him credit for as well as being very tough. Will be interesting to see how Groves performs against Jack, plenty were writing him off before the DeGale fight after James' win over Smith and George's issues against Kevin Anderson but he proved a lot of doubters wrong. On the fence/leaning to a Groves late stoppage if they fought
