  1. No, are you?

There are so many question marks over groves, as much as there are over smith.

Ok, so its a "pick 'em fight based on recent form"?

    Recent form (last 5):

Groves - Wins over Degale, Adamu and Anderson. Two KOs in there and two titles where he beat the champion i.e. no vacants. Also two other KOs in two low key fights.

Smith - Won the British by beating Quigley with a razor thin SD. Then UD'd Dodson (who was KO'd by Quigley the fight before). Add to this a stoppage loss to Degale. And two KO's in low key fights.

If anything recent form tells us that Smith is around the same level as an overweight Quigley. He is someway short of Groves. If by "pick 'em" you mean 5050, then most fans, writers, people on this board and bookies think you are way off. As do I.

  3. I know what the recent form is mate. At the time groves fought adamu, adamu had degenerated into a worse than area level fighter and the stoppage was shite. The Anderson win hides the fact George was shite apart from the final round, was put on his arse on ****ing bambi legs.
And the win against degale was very disputed.
I think there's anextremely good case for this fight being 50/50.

Have to agree with Lilo here.

Recent form would suggest Groves wins easy!!!

I don't agree that Groves chin is shaky either.

He took quite a few solid shots against Anderson and only briefly touched down.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not making him out to be Hagler but I don't think he has a bad chin.

Whether the win was debatable or not against Degale no-one could argue that it was very close and highly competetive.

Smith got a drubbing against degale and was far from competetive.

    That is recent form!!!

I'd like to hear it :think

Something along the lines of - Anderson dropped Groves, Groves didn't beat Degale, Adamu was shite. Smith showed he is a warrior (and liverpool's best SMW :yep) against Quigley/Dodson and would've stopped Degale late on. His last two fights show Gallagher has turned him into a KO1 specialist and the same fate awaits GG.

Sorry mate don't see it at all, think 2/9 Groves win is generous to Smith really.

  7. Fair enough. Only got to wait till Saturday to find out.

If smigga wins, it won't be an upset to me. Like I say I got it 50/50

How the **** is this a pick em fight? hahaha wow!!
When has Smith taken anyone out who is half decent? Well some not even half decent? Smith will be the one getting stopped if anyone, Smith is an average fighter at this level. Groves will do what he want's in their with him.

Yes a pick em fight, one where Groves is mainly 1/7 and 1/6 on to win.

I can't believe I saying this but I will stick my neck out and say Smith by stoppage.

I like Groves and hope he wins and my head tells me Groves but i've just got a gut feeling Smith pulls off a little bit of a shock.

  15. I'm sitting here at my typewriter thinking of what I can add that you guys havn't and I can't! Needless to say though that Gentleman George will put this chump on ***** street but will still have the manners to pay for his cab ride home. No doubt about it: Smith's gettin' smoked and he's one tomato that's going to be mighty bitter about it.
