Quite scrappy and hard to score but Groves did edge a few rounds. I think Braemer could take the thing though.

The worst part of the fight was Groves' holding. Start counting his clinching. See how quickly you get to hundred. Was it by the fourth round?

 

Yeah he's definitely the dark horse in this thing... Providing his old and frail body holds up, he matches up very well against both Smith and Groves.

 

Tournament will have no legitimacy of Groves can't compete fully fit and a stand in boxes instead.

Sounds like you're completely overreacting to how much holding Groves did do. Most of it was in the last four rounds, he was hardly doing it constantly the first 8 or so. Sour grapes? Lets be honest here.

 

Good boxing from Groves and should have been more comfortable with the two knockdowns. Eubank was awful though, we know he's not going to outbox Groves but he had no boxing brain in there, none.
