No need. It wasn't even close, I'd prefer a Saunders rematch to that one, it would give me more pleasure seeing Saunders 2.0 win by shutout this time around.

Easy 3rd title for Groves though.

You live by the sword, you die by the sword. I guess it's worth it for the monetary rewards. Plus most of the people talking **** online (myself included) couldn't do any better so who cares what they say...

Very true but the Eubanks are all ego, it's going to really bother him from tomorrow morning after he watches the fight back and starts scrolling through social media.

Billy Joe Saunders has gone in (as expected), Naz told him to RETIRE LOL, Bellew slaughtered him and many other people involved in boxing have torn Jr (and Sr) to pieces.

its one thing getting slaughtered by random unknown people on YouTube and Twitter but when your fellow pros are ripping you to shreds it really does tell you something.

To say he deserves it is an understatement.

Him and his father were chatting **** about Groves needing some kind of referee/medical help because of the fight, which is in awful, borderline ******ed taste given the recent careers of both fighters. Obviously just being ignorant and narrow minded people.

Absolutely. When guys who beat you (like Saunders) and guys who achieved more than you (like Naz) rip you it actually means something but that goes with the territory. If you be that cocky, people go in on you harder than if you were a humble guy. Naz surely had to deal with that himself after he lost. Like I said, live by the sword, dies by the sword.

How bad it hurts really depends on his ego. If he was just faking all the arrogance to hype himself and make money then it won't hurt his pride too much. The potential financial hit will hurt more.

If he genuinely thought he was that great then the impact could be much greater.

It's hard to judge though because Jr lost before plus the Eubanks seem genuinely delusional.

Well, I jumped around on the train, watched the first five and then the championship rounds. Looked to be competitive from the parts I saw, and though I didn't score along both the commentary and punch stats corroborated what the naked eye told me, that Groves mostly got the best of it - but unless Groves dominated the stretch I didn't see (the 6th-9th) it still feels close enough that a rematch wouldn't be completely unwarranted? Not like if he is crowned the WBSS tourney champ there's a whole lot else to do at 168lb, is there? CEJ II would be as big a payday as he's apt to find.

Ever heard the phrase "you have to leave your ego at the door before you go into the gym"?

Well that is true in all sports.

We all have a natural tendency to want to work on the things we are good at rather than things we are poor at, but if this is not a humbling experience for Eubank Jr then nothing will be. I'm not going to say it is impossible for him to come back from this, but he might have already wasted too much time, not to mention he took up boxing relatively late.

Have to remember as well, that Groves is only a year older than Eubank.

It is okay to have an ego, just not in the gym, because that is when you have to pay your dues and not just work on the things that will make you look good but work on the things that you are **** poor at. I actually do believe that Eubank works incredibly hard, but he clearly has inherited or learnt the same delusions that his father had, but at least his father was a nobody at one point so there were no short-cuts for him.

It is make or break time now for Eubank, he needs a proper coach, someone who can make him feel uncomfortable, someone who can take him out of his comfort zone.

As Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results".

It is down to him to prove all the doubters wrong now. But my gut feeling is that Eubank is not going to change, and it might be too late for him anyway.

    He did.

But that's on the referee, really. Ref needs to sort that out. I nothing happens he's gonna keep doing it.

Peter Fury scored it 11-1 for Groves. I don't even think that's an objectionable card. Jnr. was awful.

It is SMW. Just throw the top fifty or so names into a hat and draw one.
