Biggest shock of year this fight, came from nowhere. Win Win Situation for Brophy, if he's at least competitive which he could well be I feel then his profile is raised. He deserves a huge pay on the back for taking the fight as a massive step up in class but I don't think he's there to make up the numbers !

I totally agree mate, David will be expected to get beat so he has nothing to lose!! If he is to shock the world and win he is instantly a household name, if he gets beat in a competitive fight his profile is raised immensely and if he gets beat comprehensively then it is expected anyway so he still loses nothing!!

Good luck to David Brophy and Billy Nelson and I hope they make the most of this opportunity.

Nice stay busy fight for Groves, I still believe he has at the very least one more big fight in his career, looked impressive in his last fight.

Speaking of Groves opponents, does anyone know what has happened to Kenny Anderson?

Grove to lose on points... surely worth a punt. Although he did look 'good' against that very awful Italian in his last fight. Stupid fight for Groves, he could quite easily look terrible against a handy boxer like Brophy.

If people think this is a walkover think again, yes David hasn't fought at Georges level yet but has sparred with guys better and done exceptionaly well against them, he didn't need asking twice too take the fight which speaks volumes for him.

Good luck for it Billy - fair play to him for taking this shot and hopefully it pays off. Could pave the way for massive nights up here if he wins!

He tested positive for speed or something random like that and blamed it on being spiked by his Mrs after a tiff.

Served a 12 month ban and never came back. Don't know if he still holds a license or has any sort of desire to fight again. Shame as he was tough as old boots.

I tip my cap to David. Hope he can pull it off, stranger things have happened!

    Good luck to you both.

Sparring is not the same as fighting on the big stage.
