I don't disagree with any of that. I've been on the receiving end of terrible spars due to variables mentioned above. But it is THE closest thing to replicate a fight. It is the best indication possible available to make an informed choice on how someone will do in the absence of mutual opponents.
It definetly doesn't mean "jack ****"

I still believe Groves isn't the fighter he once was, I still do not think he has recovered from the Froch fights so if Billy Nelson and Brophy get the tactics right I wouldn't write off Brophy at all.

Are you totally insane? Brophy has absolutely no chance here. He doesn't even hit hard so there's not even a puncher's chance that he will beat Groves. Groves is levels, levels, levels and levels above Brophy. Lmao at the people who think Brophy has a chance, I'm dying! Groves beat Degale and narrowly lost to Badou Jack. Also had Froch nearly beaten. If any of you think this will be remotely close or that Brophy has some sort of chance of winning this fight, just stop watching boxing and watch another sport like tennis. Jesus Christ.

He can't out box Groves and he can't bang with Groves.

That said, he'd be a fool to take Brophy lightly given the circumstances because it could turn out to be a more difficult night than it looks on paper if so. Brophy is handy, has been involved in some good sparring and will have the bit between his teeth to impress himself.

Good luck to him and Billy, but Groves by stoppage.

    Cheers for the update. :good

Shame Kenny's career's gone off the rails though. Would have been good to see him mixing it with some of the domestic/euro level SMWs.

Typical Sauderland/Hearn. Spoon feed a fighter a few gimmies then throw them in a real fight.. Would much rather see Groves fight someone who throws back with intent to gear him towards another world title run..

I'm not totally insane but slightly :think

I didn't say Brophy would win, did I? I said I wouldn't write him off completely and I won't. I didn't say he had any % of a chance, I just won't write off fighters completely.

I've seen so many upsets I never completely write anybody off and it's that attitude that gets fighters beat, it was that attitude that may have cost Groves a world title against Jack.

Groves and his fans were so arrogant before the Jack fight, Jack had been blasted out in a round a while back and Groves and his people didn't look past that, the arrogance before the fight from Groves was stunning and he was dropped in the first round by a shot that shouldn't of put any half decent SMW down and he lost the fight.

I do not share your confidence in Groves, I believe he hasn't recovered from the Froch defeats.

As for telling me to watch other sports because I won't dismiss or disrespect a fighter, I believe you are arrogant and I shall be keeping an eye out for all your posts and predictions :good

i watched kenny from when he was a kid and i always enjoyed his boxing, think he messed up the early part of his pro career getting involved with barry hughes.

its a shame that he has ended up going down the road he has since being banned. 'racking up lines instead of racking up ko's'
