i know its a little too early to judge both but who do you think would win if these two ever met. personally i feel its groves, been very impressed so far. should make for a good fight somwhere down the line.
Here's the amateur fight between the two in the Regional ABA's. Groves wins a very controversial decision. round 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2wlmE-RwOM Round 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNik...D5470C0C&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=23 round 3 -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyfY9qFaOMs 4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJSnPQCtVj8&feature=related
Groves by miles judging but what I've seen. Obviously Groves is a bit further into his professional career than DeGale but it'll be interesting to see if Warren puts DeGale in with the kind of guys that Groves has been fighting when Degale has reached the same number of fights. Very doubtful, IMO. Adam Booth is a helluva matchmaker and doesn't get a lot of credit for it either.
Groves last two wins have been worthy. I hope he keeps it up. In fairness to DeGale his last win was very good and the opponent brought a pretty record. Groves I think is stronger and more powerful thus suited to the pros. De Gale has the height, reach and speed but needs to nurture it so he has some serious boxing ability. At the moment he is sloppy. Like a Junior Witter without the power. That isn't a fantastic prospect to be honest. On the other hand Groves fights in a way that could have him found out. The low left isn't working for him against the faster DeGale and I'm not sure if it'll work in the pros. If Groves get those hands up, his natural tenacity, strength and power should see him win it down the stretch.
Groves can punch properly. I'm not sure who has the more natural ability but Groves is definitely the better fighter right now and therefore can move on with his career a lot quicker, DeGale is going to have a fair few fights ad******g to the pro game before he can take on quality opposition. Then again Groves is in no rush, he's only 19 isn't he and for his age looks quality. Well I'm not sure he's only 19 now, just checked on the internet and can't find his age anywhere, he's like Sonny Liston Right now I'd expect Groves to win although I do think DeGale has it in him to change my opinion.
