George Kambosos Jr. vs. Devin Haney June 5 for the undisputed lightweight championship.

Messed up he has to win the title in Aus *and* have a rematch there. Pretty sweet terms for TR.

But I'm glad it's happening, and in only two about two months. Haney wins a frustrating decision.

He is ready to go to Australia twice and sign a deal with Top Rank and most likely take smaller purse than he is used to with Matchroom (who overpaid him).

He only has to go to Australia again if he stays at 135 if he moves up that becomes null and i think he will move to 140 if he wins it would be stupid to go to Australia twice.

 

Good for Haney. This is how you put a mark on the sport, go to another man’s home and take it from him. Kambosos traveled to get his chance. Not sure why people think American fighters shouldn’t have to, especially when it’s called “world champion”.

Salido went to Puerto Rico twice to bust up Juan Manuel Lopez. It’s what fighters who are confident in their ability do. Glad to see Haney has that same confidence, speaks volumes about where’s he’s at mentally.

 

Kambosos is legit, boxing fans seem to be sleeping on this kid big time. He could stop Haney in Aus.
