It takes a little more than genetics.

Get to a boxing gym numbnuts and see if all it takes is good genetics to become a great fighter. Takes A LOT more work than that buddy.

Sure, he needs a lot of work on technique...and pacing himself.

But this was his very first fight, amateur or pro.
If you go back and look at some of the current top fighters very first amateur fights, I'm sure they leave a lot to be desired.

He definitely is missing his father's killer instincts. His punches looked real slow and lazy, but hey, it's his first fight. At least he goes after his opponent, can't say the same about half the heavyweights these days. Who knows, he might even be a contender in 4-5 years.

nah, he's got raw power but look how he stands and throws his punches. Anyone who moves quite well and has a good jab should beat him easily. All that being said... he'll probably be a belt holder along side tyson fury in two years time!! :rofl

He looks horrible. Why are they letting him fight professional with no amateur career, anyway?

Monk looks awful. He started very late to boxing and it shows. Also, he did not inherent his daddy's natural strength. Big George would have leveled that tubby white dude with his first punch.

Big George Foreman is commonly listed at being 6'4", but I highly doubt that.

Exactly! His father is the king of picking the right opponents and avoiding the wrong ones.
