Always good to see someone who has been doing well in prelims make the step up and take their chance. At best, I though he would win a close decision but he won comfortably. Terry Etim is another guy who has been doing well in the prelims and needs a tougher fight. Florain vs Gomi winner would be a good next fight, Shrek too, even though he keeps getting injured/pulling out of fights.
I thought he was going to be good on TUF, just seemed very well rounded. But I thought he looked much, much bigger this weekend. Glad to see him getting a good win. I've heard a few people bitching about all the stuff he was wearing waist down but don't think it changed the outcome of the fight to be honest.
The thing about this fight is that Stevenson did a great job of keeping the submissions at bay (except for being saved by the bell), and they seemed to both have damaged each other about equally.
