Man I hate this idea, GSP has done TUF 12, a documentary about his life, primetime with shields and has fought 3 times in Canada in the last 3 years.

Right now they're planning to make him fight in montreal again and make him do TUF again!? I just don't feel right now is the time to overexpose GSP as he's really not made a lot of new fans recently and we already know everything about him by now.

IMO get him out of Canada and let him fight with no Primetime/TUF, he already has Canadian medias at Tristar Gym 24/7. :blood

P.S.: About the fight I feel GSP could win with good ground control + agressive GnP which we haven't seen from him in a long time. Stand up goes to Diaz mostly for his resilience and ability to come forward all the time.... It's a close matchup therefore a good one. :hi:

This is a great fight for GSP. The UFC champ against the welterweight Strikeforce champ. This fight should help prepare GSP for the middleweight division if he decides to move up after beating Diaz. Diaz is 6foot 1 inch tall and about the average height of most middleweights. George at 5 foot 10 inches needs to have serious fights with naturally bigger, talented guys if he hopes to develop a style that can make him successful at middleweight. He whips Diaz, pumps iron and eats beaucoup protein for nine months and works on getting his timing down at middleweight with his new strength and eventually faces Anderson for all the marbles.

Anderson will be 40 years old by then. By the time this fight happens (similar to the May/Pac fight) it wont mean what it would have- what it should have.

I think GSP has a lot of trouble at middleweight look at the top fighters there (in the Ufc or Strikeforce):

    Anderson
    Okami
    Maia
    Jacare
    Sonnen
    Miller
    Jorge Santiago

Most these guys are groundfighters who are bigger and stronger, the ground is GSP's main strength lets see him go to the ground with Jacare and Maia. lets see him take down Sonnen and Okami. A prime Anderson I think destroys him and Mayhem Miller is a tough fight it gets to the ground it will be even tougher.

My oppinion GSP should just stay at WW their are still opponents for him in his own weightclass, and it doent seem like he is eager to move up in weight, wait till he cant make 170 anymore if it means the "superfight" dosent happen then ohh well would never have lived up to expectations anyway none of the MMA superfights in the UFC ever did.

I told everyone Dana would never allow one of his best and name fighters enter the boxing ring. He works to hard to market his guys, hes scared to see one of his guys get embarass by any over the hill fighters in boxing, the honest truth. The guy is smart and most likely Lacy would only get his chance by fighting in the cage.

If you believe GSP hasn't the strength at middleweight to compete at groundfighting with top middleweights like MIller, Okami and Sonnen why in the world would you be concerned that the great Silva might be 40 before their epic fight takes place? Perhaps your concerned that a powerful GSP with 15 pounds of solid extra muscles at 185lbs. is just as effective at middleweight as he presently is at welter? Silva to me seems to just get more dominant as he ages. He is just crushing his opponents often with single brutal kicks. This fight could take place within eighteen months well before Silva reaches 40. If GSP beats Silva he will earn the title as P4P best and vice-versa. No excuses. By the way, except for Sonnen I believe GSP would easily crush Okami and Miller and the rest of the middles in groundfighting now. He is an absolute freak of nature on the ground.

I stand by what i say. Diaz makes GSP tap. Stylistically he causes him alot of problems. Hopefully the fight happens.
