LOL, the more I look into it the more absurd these claims become. I’m really doubting whether he ever even rehydrated as high as 180. Weighing in at 165 for the Super Middleweight Title bout against Benn doesn’t seem strange to me anymore.

    @Bulldog24 Here's Hatton-Castillo on HBO:

Hatton was 149 coming into the ring. LMAO @ 165.

That explains why you believe Rick Glaser's 198 for McClellan.

    Good day, sir.

    Here's Hatton-Collazo, at WELTERWEIGHT:

    Hatton was 158 coming in.

Hatton wasn't even putting on as much weight as I'd remebered.

You cannot tell bold face lies and expect people not to research and call you out.

Where in the living Hell did you get 165???

Says the man who thinks Ricky Hatton came in as a super middleweight.

McClellan was not a larger man than Pavlik.

Kelly is well over 200 pounds now and carries it comfortably.

He fought up to 1995. In 1988 he was 21.

This isn't rocket science. He had the frame to of through the weights in those seven years.

So at what point was he weighing 198 after rehydrating?

Hell, I’ll give you a pass on the 198 if you want. We’ll drop it down to a clean 185. That’s a +13 handicap I’ve allowed you, so you should be set in this debate if the things you’ve come to believe about G-Man are even remotely true.

Anyways, you brought up a great point. He was a young 21 year old in the fights I mentioned. Obviously he still had another 30-40 pounds of natural filling out to do. He was still a growing boy after all. Probably had another growth spurt or two on the way. Silly me for failing to realize these things.

So we’ll scrap that example. On to the next. G-Man weighs in at 160 3/4 for a fight on July 27, 1991. 17 days later (August 13) he weighed in at 161 3/4 for his last tune up before challenging for the Middleweight title.

So no issues there? Cutting almost 25 pounds, gaining it back, losing it again, and gaining it back again all within a 2 1/2 week span? Easy breezy?

I’ll let you go over all that before I get to the “Why?”

As in “Why would he essentially cut off an arm and leg to lose massive amounts of weight for non title fights that nobody will even see against opponents nobody even knows? He wasn’t even hitting the 160 lb target weight. Or incurring any penalty for not doing it. So why would he do this for every single fight instead of just fighting in higher weight classes for his non title bouts? Was he just an extreme masochist?”

Anyways, the “Why?” should be something like that. But don’t let this distract you from responding to my first post.

Ask his handlers, I wasn't there?

He wouldn't of rehydrated in July/August 1991 because there were same-day weigh-ins until post-Eubank/Watson II. He wouldn't of been able to, obviously. None of this is rocket science.

Remember Steward had fighters at 168 and 175 (Hearns, Liles, Moorer, Barber) so it would've been a conflict of interest, and the money fights were at 160.

Really? So he was still naturally weighing around the Middleweight limit coming up to 1992? So when in the next 3 years did he go from a natural 165 or so to a natural 185?

He cut a lot of weight for fights. Get over it?
