Not really the same though. I'm not saying it was right but fighters cheat when they can get away with it, so u might as well not even talk to your kids about boxing at all. I not seen the fight in a while so can't remember how intentional it was to be honest. I'll have to re watch it.

G Man was not at his best against Benn with a big weight drop and personal ,
managerial and training problems. Similar thing happened to Curry against
Honeyghan and Sandoval vs Canizales WBA 118 lb fight.
The WBA fight had disaster consequences for Sandoval as he had to lose 12lbs
in 3 days and was brutally ko and ended up having brain surgery.
G Mac even if he didn't fight Benn and move up to 168 his problems mentioned
above would have meant he never would have fulfilled his potential and would
have lost to the first decent opponent.

Maybe he hit to hard for his own good and it wasn't healthy for his brain.

I heard a rumor than McClellan had sparred quite a bit with Mike McCallum. And separately, Nigel Benn had sparred a handful of rounds with McCallum before saying he wouldn't ever spar with McCallum again because in his approximate words 'he was so accurate, he kept hitting me in the same spot without letting up. He was so pinpoint I was afraid I would get brain damage.'

Maybe it was some of that, maybe it was the other Kronk gym wars, maybe it was Jackson, and maybe he had some genetic predisposition to make him more vulnerable to brain damage.

He was a bully. Eubank took may punches from Benn and kept going. Mentally eubank was tougher, you don't want to be feeling sorry for yourself against Nigel benn

How was Eubank tougher? If Eubank had been experience the brain bleed Gerald was, he would've stopped to, or his corner would've stopped it. This post made absolutely zero sense.

Oh really since when did eubank quit. Benn found out McClellan, he found out the spirit. Eubank has taken his fair share of beatings

Some big punchers look like their frames don't support their power. And their heads will whip violently when they throw a really hard punch. Sonny Banks comes to mind as someone who did this.

I'm not a doctor so I can't say with certainty, but I would bet that this punch is not healthy for his head.

I've thrown a few punches that were too hard, where I had to stop right after and take a break.

Flexibility of the shoulder doesn't equate to rigidness of he neck and head
