I just watched the fight of their loves again and it said he was highly thought of in the p4p ranks, i just wondered if anyone could recommend some of his fights, from the clips i saw on the programme he looked in great shape and like he could really bang so id love to see some more of him.

He was in most Lb4Lb lists after his 2nd fight with Julian Jackson - a shocking one-round blow-out. Jackson himself was in most Lb4Lb lists before he fought McClellan the 1st time.

He also was the only man to drop Sanderline Williams, and blew-out granite-chinned Baptist (went 12 with destroyer version of Hopkins) in one round. And looked devastating against Mugabi.

    Jackson 1,2
    Baptist
    Bell
    Mugabi

Basically any fight - G-man just quickly destroys his oppostion.

Benn - despite it's tragic nature is a mandatory watch.

Lest not forget he smashed Benn out the ring in 30 seconds as well. A prime Benn!

The first fight with Jackson was a very under-rated war, with McClellan under heavy pressure early before scoring a highlight reel KO later on.

The Benn fight was probably the most compelling fight I've ever seen, but in light of the aftermath is difficult viewing.

Most of his other fights were quick blowouts. McClellan rising to the already stacked ranks at 168 was supposed to herald a golden era for that division. Toney imploded after his loss to Jones and spent years in the wilderness. Benn himself was never the same after the McClellan fight. Eubank lost to Collins, which left Jones putting on one-sided exhibitions against overmatched challengers.

    julian jackson 1 and 2.
    john mugabi.
    gilbert baptist and carl sullivan.
mcclellan fights usually fell into 2 catagories, very quick blowouts or fights where he ran out of idea's and was beaten.
28 of mcclellans 31 wins, came inside of 3 rounds. in fights that went into the 4th or more he won 3 and lost 3.
