I think Lamottas toughness gives him a points win and he has an all time great chin. Thoughts?

LaMotta took the best Robinson had to offer. In their 6th fight, Robinson could not floor him despite throwing everythin plus the kitchen sink at LaMotta.

LaMotta outpoints him. He has the skill and toughness to hang around and box around the basic McClellan.

After seeing Benn whether the early storm, it would be easy to see LaMotta doing likewise. But, in hindsight, it appears that McClellan was very likely damaged goods going into that fight. It certainly did not appear that McClellan had much left after only a few short rounds that night.

After throwing his load and Jake is still standing LaMotta starts wearing Gerald out and stops him in 11 or 12. Big punchers and stamina don't usually reside in the same fighter

SRR is the best of all time in my opinion. That doesn't mean he carried as much power as G Man does at this weight. Thus Jake surviving bombs from SRR doesn't mean he could from the G-Man. He might, but I wouldn't label it a forgone conclusion

IMHO, Gerald is overrated. He had great power and was a good boxer but was flawed. For the same reason I believe Marvin Hagler and James Toney would have beaten Gerald, I believe Jake would have beaten Gerald as well.Jakes phenomenal chin would have withstood Gerald's onslaught thereby frustrating him. When it would have been obvious Jake wasn't going anywhere, Gerald would have lost the plot and Jake would have taken over.

LaMotta`s crouching and slipping defense was similat to Benn`s only better.

Jake was far more skilled than G-man and hasd a far better jab.

Robi was far better at landing than G-man he could set up his power shots far better, no way could Benn have made Robi miss as much as he made G-man miss in that ill-fated match, Robi would have jabbed Benn`s head off but was missing a lot of his jabs v the crouching, slipping LaMotta as would the wasteful G-man.
