What if Julian Jackson gets injured and pulls out of their rematch in May 1994 and the replacement opponent is Bernard Hopkins. Who takes this?

And perhaps this should be another thread. What if G-Man fought Eubank instead of Benn?

Hopkins would get dropped in the fifth and seventh but rescue a disputed draw.

My money would be on B-Hop. Far more skilled and had the defense and durability

Hopkins has a very good chance here but he wouldn't use the tactics Nigel Benn used standing with McClellan and pushing him onto the backfoot negating some of G-Man's power, Hopkins would very much be on the backfoot in this. Could see McClellan using his jab and long right hand to get a decision win.

Perhaps a late 90s Hopkins would take it but in 1994 IMHO I see McCellan winning by a wide UD possibly even scoring a KD in the process.

    Hopkins completley outclasses G-Man.

Well per the thread topic it would certainly be an open match pitching 94 Hopkins in. A few years later i'd take Hopkins to roll any version of him.

Let’s be real, McClellan would absolutely slaughter him.
