McClellan seemed be the most powerful fighter I've ever seen at 160lbs. He was a search and destroy type fighter once he gained the title. I think he would get Bernard's attention on occasions, but I believe Hopkins is to skilled for McClellan in the long run. I think it would be foul filled with rabbit punches, and holding and hitting.

Hopkins by decision in a fight that would have been very wild at times.

I think that Hopkins would win a tight decision - probably in the type of fight that causes arguments about who "really won" in the General section. You could see McClellan winning his rounds on aggression and Hopkins winning his with slick counterpunching & pot shots.

To beat Bernard Hopkins, you have to be under control and fundamentally sound. McClellan packed a wallop, but he got wild if he thought he could hit a home run. Hopkins is great at letting you think you have something, when he's really setting you up for something else.

I think it would go very similarly to the Hop-Trinidad fight, with Hopkins gaining control round by round until McClellan gets itchy and pays for it with a couple of KD's.

    Hopkins UD (9-3)

Yeah, McClellan's way too wild to win this.

It's a shame B-hop's getting every single vote here; so I'll break up the monotony. Behind on the cards, McClellan finally lands a huge shot and completely knocks Hopkins out- the only fighter to do so. Let's not forget, Gerald would've been the hardest hitter Hopkins faced and the most athletic fighter besides Roy. If any Middleweight had the power to end the fight in one punch on Hopkins, it'd have been Mclellan.

Hopkins wins at least 8 rounds in this one. Hopkins boxes his way en route to a decision. McClellan don't have anything for X. McClellan was wild and predictable. He isn't what people think he is. He had a great chin, immense power and some good tools but he was quite a dumb fighter and not as special as people think.

Don't be suprised if you see another Tito like performance. There will be an initial surge but once that is tamed X will start racking up the rounds. G will be in the fight for no more than four rounds before X starts putting roudn after round in the bank.

IMO McClellan would knock Hopkins out later (on points Hopkins sligthly ahead), Bernhard´s chin was/ is very good but also a bit overrated, Gerald was one of the biggest punchers at 160 lbs. ever, and he had also skills and wasn´t just an one-dimensional slugger...

    McClellan KO 9 Hopkins

Hopkins by late-rounds stoppage. McClellan could crack, but Hopkins had the chin to withstand the early rounds assault, and would break him down to the body, setting up the stoppage in the later rounds.
