Lol Benn clearly hit the canvas, yeah ropes held him up after that 3rd right hand, it wasn't until the 2nd right hand that he went limp and was out cold, then he was sitting on the ropes when the 3rd and 4th right hands landed but he then clearly slid off the ropes and his back hits the canvas. If he didn't hit the canvas what did he do levitate himself back to an upright position lol? You don't start a count when the fighter is upright and out cold you start it when he hit's the canvas, whether it be a glove, knee or back.

Obviously GMan had the power to KO Benn, but he wasn't able to do it in the first round or later on when he dropped him again. He hit Benn with his best shots and Benn got up twice from them. Yeah the injury clearly had an effect on the fight, I don't think Benn actually ever seriously hurt him half as much as GMan hurt Benn. But on that night GMan couldn't put it together as he clearly was already suffering from the effects of the Jackson fights combined with extreme weight cutting. Benn recovered quickly from that first knock down and was hitting GMan cleanly before there was any sign of injury. Gman's defence was as bad as his offence was good, he was far too easy to hit.

A couple of years prior to facing G-Man, Benn was wobbled badly by feather fist Mauro Galvano (18% KO ratio) who was routinely ridiculed and pelted with rotten fruit for his lack of power by his fellow inhabitants of his hometown Fiumicino and unemployed painter and decorator Lou Gent hurt Benn a couple of times in his fight following that one.

He obviously didn't have a great chin, probably not even average which with his overly aggressive style should of been career suicide but his huge heart more than made up for his chin. The man was born to fight.

No question, I absolutely love Benn I just feel he was past his best when he fought G-Man and he could be hurt by much lesser punchers than him even when closer to his prime.

G-Man punched Benn out of the ring within a round, and he should have got the "W".

Besides, G-Man was a terrific body puncher. He'd make Eubank pay with his assault.
