I do not see Valdez, Benvenuti or Zale shitting themselves and running like a dog from Iran Barkley, nor do I see them blowing a big lead against a green James Toney...

No, my own analysation. I'd also pick Chad Dawson over Nunn at a catchweight of 170. Nunn was good, a league above Pavlik and Taylor, but very beatable all the same.

He was a harder and faster puncher than Taylor and he hurt Pavlik. His power was very deceptive. The KO of Kalambay was crisp.

Try analysing him again if you think he's just a 1-2 guy. He's pulled some amazing 6 shot combinations in fights that I have seen when he gets the guy opened. Tenderizing his meat a little bit by bit, quite a technition.

    Master of controlling distance.

The only problem with Kessler that I see is that he himself has to be in control to do his best work, he can do this against most fighters, even speedy, but covential guys like Dawson or Nunn for example.

But speedy, awkward guys like RJJ or Calzaghe stylistically own him, there are a few others as well. If Kessler can control the fight's pace, he wins, plain and simple, his timing and distance control is magnificent.
