Prime for prime would have been interesting, I read a article that hearns said that G-man hit harder and more accurately to the body than McCallum. Gerald mostly just fought sluggers his whole pro career, always wondered how he would do against a opponent with a granite chin, how yall think this would go down?

oh I dunno man McCallum took lumps from a variety of hitters .. G-man could get him as when you roll like him you're up for taking out just about anyone on any given night ... if McCallum is McCallum he can break G-man down .. but if G-man does a Jackson on him he can get to him for sure

I think it becomes real 1 sided after the first 3 rounds or so. Mike stops Gerald late

I agree with the point, but the formula isn't right.

I will go against the grain and go with the G-man. Early. like 2 or 3 rounds and the ref waves it off.

McClellan had a great left hook to the body. One of the best the division has ever seen. It freezes opponents. Then the right hand comes in and it's all over quick. And those long arms of his. He looks like he's 3 feet away and the next thing you know he is landing clean from as far on the outside as anyone in the sport. His range is extremely difficult to guage and he does not jab to set things up or let the opponent set their defense and get any kind of distance guage.

I also do not like Mike at middle anywhere near as much as 154. And he does get hit by right hands with that left of his low. Plus, throwing those wide looping bodyshots from way on the outside is a horrible thing to do against this opponent. He'll get beat to the punch and this is the wrong guy to have beat you to a punch.

i think McCallum is the guy hurt by a body punch in this. Not volume of body punches but power of a body punch. and then I think McCallum does what he always does and puts his head down and tries throwing a wide looping right hand to the kidney from way way on the outside. Telegraphed. Everyone in the arena will see it coming. And unfortunately for McCallum, so will Gerald. He'll get hit clean with a shot he never see's by a big hitter. He barely took curry's right hand at 154--hardly donald's best weight---and this guy's right hand is about 2 levels above that.

I liked the G-Man. But, no way in hell he beats McCallum. McCallum is too well rounded. Although McClellan is the harder puncher, McCallum had an iron chin. And The Body Snatcher hit more than hard enough to get Gerald's respect. Especially as the fight wore on. Prime vs Prime: McCallum UD.
Versus the version that fought Nigel Benn, McCallum wins by stoppage.

Actually you are correct. If my formula was true than Tiozzo would not have beaten McCallum. Great fighters do lose to good fighters sometimes.

All fighters lose to "Father Time" eventually.
