They don't call him the G-Man for nothing..Gman inside the distance no doubt

Got to go with G-Man here, He's got the physical advantages and the fact he's got the range and punch power i think he'd take Duran out without much fuss.

Probably have him out of there by round 3.

I agreed with you. Duran could box a lot better than most give him credit for. He was a much better infighter than GM. Plus he had a really good left hook to the body. Out side of the Hearns debacle Duran's chin took what ever it had to.

A focused and well trained Duran takes McCellan into deep water and drowns him.:bbb

McClellan's skills (or lack thereof) are what makes this interesting. He was way bigger than Duran, and in the end physicality would probably win the day, but I dunno. McClellan is no Hearns, though. I don't like that comparison at all.

McClellan sort of is Hearns-lite, except he's heavier if you know what I mean. They have the same strengths and weaknesses. McClellan like Hearns is absolute lightening out of the blocks, great from long range, powerful but pretty weak at close range and defensively not very good in close and not the best stamina or workrate either

If Hearns and Duran never fought, you might fancy Duran to get past the jab and do the job late. So like ETM said, what if the fight goes past the early rounds? Duran has some similarities to Benn. Even then is Duran strong enough to push GMAN back like Benn did?

The thing is at 160 this task becomes even more insumountable, as does it against a fighter of Gman's speed for a post 147lb Duran.

SO I'd pick GMAN but against the betting on this thread, Duran might take him the distance

Duran was not tiny.. Compare him to Hagler in 1983.. I think Gerald wins but maybe by late round knockout, not as easy as some think. Duran could have decent defense and took a good punch..
