Ummm triple G won that fight, and clearly unmistakably so at that. The majority see it that same way. This was also a past his prime triple g at that. Not a good fight to reference imo

Spurt boxer with terrible stamina against a relentless animal like Gman?? lol

Gman would have no respect for light hitting Canelo and would run straight through him.

Indeed he did and in this fight Canelo's judges couldn't save him because he would be brutally KO'd.

How? The reach difference is immense. Duran couldnt counter Hearns either. McClellan is much faster than Golovkin, much more dangerous 1 punch hitter

My god Canelo gets crushed. The only question I have is what round Canelo gets stopped in.
Being honest who has Canelo even bgeat that's REALLY good? Lara was questionable. GGG got robbed.
And your going to tell me that he beats Gearld????!! Canelo would get CRUSHED.

I'm inclined to pick Canelo on points.

McClellan's team purposely avoided matching him with skilled, prime fighters with a chin after he got outboxed twice on the way up. King then retooled his matchmaking strategy to re-fashion him in to a middleweight Mike Tyson (to Steward's chagrin, as Manny really wanted him to evolve into a more rugged version of the Hearns-esque boxer puncher)

They fed him a stream of guys with chin issues who presented no stylistic or qualitative threat. They never matched up with a consensus top 10 Middleweight until the Jackson fights (which were his only fights with a top 10 middleweight), and his named opponents, to a T, had all been stopped before. The Benn fight was scheduled in England out of hubris because he fit the same blueprint- a name fighter who'd already been stopped twice.

I don't pin that on Gerald- King came up with the plan, and the plan worked until the Benn fight changed all that. G-man himself? That dude would've fought and gone to war with anyone. What I do pin on him is falling in love with his own power to the point of ignoring and alienating Manny Steward to surround himself with yes-men. That lack of discipline would've been his undoing even if he'd knocked out Benn.

You can argue Camelo already beat someone better then Gerald in GGG. The Gman beat Jackson.... that’s it.
