Johnson said he saw nine or 10 dogfights in all, some lasting 45 minutes, others so bloody McClellan walked out looking as if he'd been in a gunfight. Once, after McClellan's dog lost, Johnson watched his friend coldly pull a 9 mm gun out of his pocket and fire into the dog's head. And then he saw a much gentler side of McClellan when it came to Deuce. When the dog was losing, McClellan screamed to stop the fight. "He gave the man his money, picked Deuce up and threw him over his shoulder," Johnson says. "He was crying all the way home, petting his dog, saying he would never do it again. "He was driving a green Mercedes Benz. Blood was all over the car. Deuce's neck was tore out, and you know what Gerald did? He sewed his neck up himself with a needle and thread. And that was the last dogfight I went to with Gerald." :verysad
Benn left McClellan almost as ******ed as The_President. "They didn't call him The Dark Destroyer for nothing."
His brain was bleeding after round 2. He knew something was wrong and wanted to quit by round 6 - but he allowed his trainer to talk him into continuing. Im planning to make a thread about the whole thing - should be up wednesday the latest
you could see that something was wrong quiet early in the fight the punches to the back of the head didn't help but you see that in loads of fights which pisses me off its ****ing illegal yet you never see many dq's or point deductions for it
This was copied from an article and it says it was Deuce that lost the fight and that Gerald shot it to put out of misery.:huh
I've got the book War, baby: The Glamour of Violence by Kevin Mitchell. It contains a lot of detailed accounts told first hand by Stanley Johnson (Gerald's friend/trainer). Deuce was losing so Gerald called for the fight to get stopped paid the owner of the other dog, cried his eyes out then put three bullets in Deuce's head.
He wanted to quit by round 6, but his trainer told him to:' go out there and die.' He was complaining about headaches and having the feeling of water rushing in his head. True.
this is the most tired subject on this forum. Gman was a notorious weight shedder and lost like 17 or 18 pounds right before the fight..his brain was dehydrated and vulnerable to punches..or so say the experts..
