Well, seeing as I was the only person putting Kalambays name forward I imagined you were directing it at me, sorry if that's not the case. I don't think he needs to be on the night of his life, I don't rate G-Mans skillset all that much. He showed very little stylistic versatility. I've seen Kalambay in with straight forward bangers, I've never seen McClellan in with anyone like Sumbu. He has a punchers chance with one of the vest defensive technicians in the history of the division. I can't even lean toward him I'm afraid mate.
McClellan/Kalambay is interesting. I think G-man would be super dangerous for the first half of the fight. After that Kalambay would counter him like crazy and frustrate him. McClellan just fought too much balls to the wall to beat a Toney or Kalambay type. He was a super puncher, he didn't tip off his shots and Kalambay had a flaw of dipping to his right, which would've opened him up for G-mans left hook. But if Kalambay survives the early rounds then he puts on a clinic. McClellan didn't mix offense and defence very well. He pulled his head back and didn't have the best twitch fibres, therefore making him easy to counter over the top. Kalambay was a master counter puncher, especially with the right hand. Look at G-mans fight against the journeyman Sanderline Williams. Gerald was too basic for Kalambay. My only worry for Kalambay is can he keep McClellan honest for 12 rounds, as he wasn't the biggest puncher. I think Kalambay keeps his composure and stays calm enough under the gun to win a 8-4 type of decision. Nunn and McClellan were totally different btw. Mike posed different challenges and a look to Kalambay. It would be MUCH harder for Kalambay to outpoint Nunn.
Well, done, jump on Slips analysis I'm sure even Slip would agree the chances of that outcome happening is minimal. Far moreeducated punchers did not find that punch an easy one to land. But two one dimensional bangers will be the ones to do it? Foreman was as exhausted as Kalambay was cold. Again, how did Sumbu struggle against Barkley? And when did Benn beat boxers as versatile as Kalambay? I'm still laughing at 'good European level'
I will add that Kalambay was stopped just once in his whole career. Less than Benn (x2 and actually stopped by a jab) and the same amount of times as G-Man.
im getting bored now..i have explained my thoughts at least three times, and you arent getting it. oh well, as for jumping on slips analysis i simply agreed with him, have you never agreed with somebody elses views before?...as for barkley....taking someone 15 rounds schooling or not, or banging the same person out in one round.duh er um let me think which is the more taxing..like i said before yawn...losing the will to live....benn and mclellan both had enough power to knock him out. and as for stoppages, if you know anything about benns career the only stoppages you can really count are the ones against watson and eubank, the two against collins well.....do i really have to go over that with you?
"I will add that Kalambay was stopped just once in his whole career. Less than Benn (x2 and actually stopped by a jab) and the same amount of times as G-Man" and as for the g-mans stoppage...are u talking about the one against benn?? when his brain was bleeding and he quit....??? u mean that one right?? ha ha. mate you are priceless
No you are mate, A know it all little jobsworth, you have your opinion and thats fine but you should travel to the top left hand of the screen and post in there, your more suited to it. You lack reason and debate.
im not sure how you work that one out william, but its nice that you recognise that i do indeed know it all. you may bow before me.
Id rather shoot you in the face with a shotgun, but seeing as were being civil, ill let you off, You are not as informed as you think you are, in fact you talk a load of bollocks, take off the biased goggles and look at all aspects, Im trying to help you here
shoot me in the face with a shotgun?? you are ****ing having a laugh. and as for trying to help me, theres no need, im big and ugly enough to look after myself. and maybe im wrong, but you made yourself busy and got involved in something i was discussing with someone else.
