Yeah remember that, Lisa's worse then Gerald she's just a *****. Woman's not even that close to Gerald from what i'm lead to believe before the fight..
Yeah, just to confirm I don't think McCllellan 'deserves' this. Just that he doesn't 'deserve' too much sympathy either. My outburst was regarding the thread title. It certainly doesn't 'break my heart'. I can understand if it does some, but not me.
Agree 100% with Fleaman on this topic .... the bloke deserves no sympathy at all a nasty individual by all accounts...
Sad situation, but the McClellan's are singing the wrong tune. WTF with blaming Benn, asking how he can't sleep at night. It is more a case of blame the game, not the player. Boxing is a dirty, nasty, brutal sport - those that participate know it. Do you see Marco Simoncelli's family blaming Valentino Rossi for killing Marco when he ran over him? Biggest pile of bollocks going! There are risks associated with several sports, and if you aren't willing to look those risks in the eye and deal with the consequences, you shouldn't participate... simple as that. Boxing should be accountable for what happened to G-Man... not Benn! As for the rest of it, i'm a dog lover, so I think that G-Man was a nasty son of a *****. He got put in his own dog fight with a nastier dog than him, and he got torn to pieces, just like he used to watch his dogs tear others to shreds without any hint emotion or remorse - now his family moan about Benn and others sleeping at night. I feel sorry for G-Man's plight, I feel sorry for what Benn has had to go through, but G-Man's family... ****'em!
Geralds woman seems such a cow. She's obviously still pissed that the boxing gravy train dried up. That article about finding blood on the boots was pathetic. Anything for a couple of quid - and they don't mind dragging someones name through the dirt. As somebody far more eloquent than we would say, "scum, sub human scum."
Surprised at the reaction in this thread, to be honest. I didn't know fully about the dog fighting story but ti doesn't really influence my opinion much, even though it's a horrid thing to do.
I understand your point, but it is very hard to use logic and common sense in such an emotional issue for the McClellan family. If my son were to box and be seriously injured in a fight, I know it would not be the opponents fault. But as much as I know that, I still think at the very least I would resent, at least a little, that my son's opponent is continues to live and box in good health, while my son cannot. That to me is just human nature and a bit of slack needs to be given to outbursts made by the McClellan family, at least to a point.
I feel sorry for him as not many people deserve this. But break my heart? not really. Ive seen worse things happen to much nicer people for this to emotionally affect me too much.
Rubbish ! .... if you put yourself in the firing line theres a good chance you will get hurt ! ... this is what boxers do ...
He was a great fighter, that's all I know him and respect him as, and I wouldn't wish his affliction on anyone but like many have already said, karma is a *****, and maybe karma saw it as a fitting punishment.
Didn't Gerald tell Benn's dad he was going to put Benn in a coffin before the fight? If so it's all pretty ironic. McClellan was a brilliant talent, but likely a borderline sociopath, I heard he used to kick the crap out of a few women too No but it wouldn't surprise me, Benn used to take 100s of different pills apparently, but still the case is likely BS and unprovable
