I heard he told Benns dad he was going to seriously injure his son but I dont know if thats true. **** the ****.
Have you read the book? When his favourite pitbull, Deuce, met his match in a fight and started getting its throat ripped out, he stops the fight & starts crying :rofl. If Bunce's claims are indeed true, it's no wonder Lisa McClellan is so screwed up. Blaming Nigel Benn to this day is grossly unfair.
he possibly didnt deserve that, but he deserved to do some serious time. Or let a few pitty's go to town on him and time how long it takes to rip him apart.
Gerald did tell Nigels Dad he was gonna kill his boy/ put him in a wheel chair etc. I was at a Nigel Benn sportsmans evening last month and was speaking to his wife caroline about it afterwards. I was at that fight and their was a real nasty vibe to the whole evening, hard to explain but above the usual atmosphere at a boxing match, the only fight I have been to with a similar ' ugly' feeling was ironically Eubank v Watson 2 which eneded in a similar result.
Both ultimately had the same problem leading to the severe injuries for the losing fighter as well - appallingly bad follow-up care. Not Benn's fault, not Eubank's fault, they were doing their jobs and were taking just as much of a risk as their opponent was.
My family had a labrador when I was growing up. If someone sent our old dog into a cage to be ripped up by another dog I'd wish the worst kind of pain misery on that mother****er. For that reason I have no sympathy. None. The man was a POS
I've never understood that train of thought. If karma is a *****, it certainly ain't dishing out that bitchiness here on Earth. Plenty of great people suffer. I think 'Karma' or recompense is for another place. That's just my opinion. Thankfully, i'm comfortable separating the athlete from the personality.
This was 15 years ago, and the family are still lashing out? The McClellan's have had slack, sympathy etc for many, many years, but this soon dries up when you hear the same rhetoric from them over and over again, moreover, now making accusations about steroids? There is a clear agenda here, and I maintain that the Mclellan's are barking up the wrong tree. I do believe that boxing has let McClellan down, but as noted, karma has probably intervened here. All we ever hear about is how much pain and suffering McClellan has went through, and this is only right, but what about Benn's pain? Try living a day in his shoes - yes he has his physical wares to this day, but mental scares like that don't heal. The only way anyone takes anything from this is to forgive - the McClellans can then focus on moving forwards with their lives, and so can Benn. Lisa McClellan repeatedly bringing it up makes it worse for everyone involved.
