Gerald McClennan Vs Kelly Pavlik

Picture the 2nd round of the first Taylor fight.

But Kelly doesnt make it out.

I do think the fight goes longer with bit of give and take from both guys...but I think Kelly gets stopped eventually.

 

Pavlik gets seriously ****ed up and makes it no further than the 3rd

 

imagine a prune getting stomped on by a size 12 doc marten. that would be pavliks head after a McClellan cross landed. pavliks come forward/defense compromised style would play right into the hands of McClellan.

 

McClennan is a problem for Pavlik. He's fast; he can move; he can pepper you and get out. KP would probably walk right into a storm. That said, he's got a solid enough jab to keep him at bay and avoid just getting blown away in the first round like half of McClellan's opponents, and he's a tough enough customer himself, so a mid-late stoppage would probably be on the cards.

 

Gmn is just so overrated its funny. It is an interesting human tendency to overrate people who have been injured or are dead. The best actors were always the ones who died young. The best rock legends died early and so on.

I sure way to get overrated groddly is to retire or die after an early success.

Lacy should hhave taken notes.

 

G-Man would destroy Pavlik, inside a couple of rounds. Pavlik is one of the few MW's more hyped than G-Man.

Who is better:

Dennis Milton
Ralph Ward
Bernard Hopkins

?

Pavlik lost to Hopkins, while the two unknows defeated Gerald.

Now - could Gerald have beaten Hopkins?

Could Pavlik have beaten Ralhp and Dennis?

Think about that. Try not to fall for the 'he is retired early so let's add 400% to his skill and imagine what could have been".

This Hopkins, Ralph and Dennis. Think.

G-Man dropped the ball when he was barely out of his teens...big deal.

He came back to ****ing ice some very good fighters...Kelly would have been another one of them.
