McCllelan wins this without doubt in my mind and decisely, kessler can be competive in patches but overall a McCllelan win definately, probably late fight stoppage after being broken to the body the head will follow.
honestly he'd probably ko him inside 1 i mean that was his whole gameplan based on the julian jackson fights and the benn fight
I'd favor McClellan, but I think it would be a good fight. Gerald looked great against sluggers, but he could be exposed a bit by a skilled tactician. Kessler has the technique to trouble him some, but I think he's a little too conventional not to get caught at some point. I'd favor Calzaghe over G-Man, though.
Kessler doesn't have enough movement nor does he use enough angles to beat a guy like G-Man. He's to robotic and stiff.
incase you guys forgot gman was not just a knockout artist. he was a very good boxer himself and used it when he had to. he also beat jones in the ametures and thats really sayin something becuz jones was legendary
If Gerald McCllelan was so great why Niggel Ben destroyed him??, easy figth for technician like Kessler nobody has ever Ko Kessler so why do you think GM will be the first? maybe outpoint him but no a KO desilucional people.
?!?!? obviously you have no idea who gerald mcclellan was or more likely you were not born yet when he was annihilating people
you can't make that arguement becuz we know that styles make fights. if benn beat gman that so should julian jackson be able to. also you say noboday ever ko'd n beat kessler. well i look at his record and see only 3 names i've heard off. calzaghe isnt a ko artist so thats out of the window and mundine/andrade not in gmans class. I understand the ur saying kessler would at least go the distance and yes there is a big chance that he will. buh he aint winning
Benn shouold have been counted out early in that fight but had a hometown ref in there. It should have been a KO win for G-Man with a fair ref.:deal
You can't be, Mikkel Kessler is a two time super middleweight champion and has never been knocked out amateur or professional, he's slightly taller than Gerald and clearly is the technically more adept boxer. Gerald McClellan was a 4-5 round wreckingball fighter who was VERY dangerous under Stewarts tutelage, but he lost to two regional fighters early on in his career and was very prone to eat leather, his defense was leaky. All that said, I see him stopping Kessler with his vicious left hook to the body in the early goings, the longer the fight goes the more Kessler would be favoured though.
