If McClellan can't get rid of him within 5 (which is a distinct possibility since Froch can be a slow starter), Froch would win. McClellan early or Froch late. Toss a coin.
I must confess i do not like Carl's low Left Hand in a fight with a Precision predator Like Gerald, Carl's chin is top tier...But Gerald's Power was awesome, where Nigel rolled under a lot of Geralds shots, Carls upright style could be made for Geralds "Bunker-Buster" right hands...and Gerald's left hook to the body was a frightful punch when on target, it all comes down to Styles and i tend to think that Mikkiel Kessler would perhaps have a better chance against the G-Man... Not many Super-middles could blow through Carl ...But i think Gerald may of been one of them.
Mcclellan didn't carry his power into the later rounds so if froch is still there after 6-7 rounds then he probably takes most of the late rounds on work rate. Whether that would be enough for a points victory I'm not sure. Mcclellan takes the early rounds and possibly has froch on the floor once or twice so could be too far ahead by the time froch takes over and froch isn't stopping him. Mcclellan had a great chin. McClellan would probably get this done inside 6, and maybe just as well for him, as he could not beat anyone resembling world class who he was dominating after the first four rounds. Also he extra weight gives Froch another edge...
No way in hell does Mccllean or whatever the hell his name is beat Froch, Froch is way more durable and has beaten better fighters, if Mccllean couldnt get his opponent out of there early he had no plan B:deal.. I would take Frochs career over Mcclleans in a heartbeat, remember that blinking **** Mccllean was doing against Benn?? he would be blinking against Froch too, i don't think he could take hard head shots for a long tough fight, and Froch would be drilling him hard... BTW, im glad Nigel Benn kicked Mcclleans ass:good
