    lmao!!!! @ martin beating washington.

he had a draw with a 6-12 fighter in his 7th pro bout. dude is fat and slow.

washinton will destroy that extremely protected fighter.

I'm vaguely curious about Washington vs. Aguilera (which is the only remotely attractive part of the Fox Sports 1 card tomorrow night) but since it will likely overlap with the ESPN2 FNF main event, I likely won't bother tuning in but might DVR it.

...and that is despite Trout vs. Dawson being a mismatch. This one should be too (albeit less of a mismatch), unless Washington gets badly exposed. Trout is just more proven on the world stage & more important than Washington, period, so a Trout mismatch gets viewing priority over a Washington mismatch.

He also has a dozen fights in just over a year since then and has been steadily improving while keeping active.

Thompson, Dawejko, Manswell, and Flores are by no means great victories but trump all of Washington's except Walker & Tank Williams. Each of those is a little better than each of Martin's best four, but on quantity Martin has the more fleshed out resume with 4 remotely laudable wins instead of just two. Call the resumes a wash. On form, Washington looks no more promising than Martin at present. Either could go bust or go places, given the weak state of the division.

manswell lost 5 of his last 6.

    same with pedro....

flores was scheduled to fight washinton twice and pulled out both times.

smith loss 4 of his last six...

    he's been feasting on bums.

based on the word i've been getting out of the gyms...washington appears to be the front runner. he's been beating up on a lot of good fighters in the gym.

if and when he fights martin...i'm predicting a ko win for washington.

Fine but don't front like someone couldn't pick Washington's best wins apart in the same manner.

Freight Train has a dozen losses and was on a 1-5 run when he met Washington. (although to be fair he fought a tough schedule over that period)

I like Tank Williams a lot but the fact is that he's a journeyman in his forties whose only major success in the last decade has been in the form of beating obese fraud Chauncy Welliver and giving hell to a brutally old Holyfield trucking on well past when he should've walked away.

As for your penultimate paragraph, now that is more of a valid indicator than going by their resumes (neither of which has anything substantial as of yet; just so-so and easily picked apart stuff like we have gone over for both) but it still is just hearsay and of course you'll hear buzz about guys from members of their own gym. It could be that Washington just has more of a hype machine around him than Martin creating all the extra chatter. Who's to say Martin couldn't also be tearing up good sparring partners? Unless we're there in person or someone takes & uploads some video...

malik was robbed against kathy duvas hype job on nbc...then he gets a bogus stoppage loss in the uk.

the ko loss to wilder was legit. i'd like to see anyone in here take one of the two shots that dropped him. fcukin armchair quarterbacks.

Nicolai Firtha must have got an titanium chin, because Wilder hit him about 75 times with those punches. Even Charlie Z has an iron chin compared to Malik 'King of Fraud' Scott.

I didn't see any nationalistic "crap" in his response. He merely stated that this hope will get exposed once he gets past American level. I bet you're one of those fans that his his undies in a twist :| over the changed landscape in boxing - especially among HWs. You're living in the past. US level HW is now fairly mediocre.

There are many posts on esb that show real nationalistic crap against Europeans (from Brits to those in the East), Asians, etc.

I'm sure you're vigorously "policing" those posts

I refuse to believe that was legit. Charlie Z. took harder shots, and kept getting up.
Scott is a premier sparring partner for a reason, and if he could not take a better shot than Charlie Z. he would not be.

Wilder-Scott= fake fight. I don't know if it was fixed per se, but at the very least Scott didn't like his own chances, and decided to duck out rather than take a beating.
